12/14/14  works in progress with some iffy prems that'll need fixing.

OZDocker

Rd12 and Rd14 looking ok, gotta do some serious work for Rd13

Should be 14/15/15 after trading, looking to double upgrade moore/hore rnd 13 then probably pounce on a (hopefully) heavily discounted Oliver thanks to this weekends De Boer'ing

Marstar

9/9/13

Have a lot of Cows ... need some good rookies :/

Here's some options I'll be considering over the next few weeks.

Hore to Sicily - Should only cost 60k or so, perfect upgrade with byes in mind, 90% certain I'll be locking this trade in.

Balta/Baker to Boak - probably costs 120k but will have to see if the Richmond boys can back up their outstanding games last week. Boak I think is a really solid bet at 490k.

Brad Crouch to Bontempelli - looking like a 90k trade at this stage, reckon that's a decent exchange, certainly not a bank account buster.

Brodie Smith to Hurn - this trade obviously costs a fair bit, something approaching 180k which might be slightly out of reach. All depends on downgrade options, particularly in the forward line.

Balta/Baker to Mundy/Dunkley - as with the above scenario this won't come cheap but both Mundy & Dunkley looking like excellent picks this year. Mundy in particular has been a machine since round 3.

Balta/Baker to Robbie Gray - this being a budget option and a near straight swap. If I decide to go strong in defence & grab Hurn then likely I'll be bringing in a discounted forward. Gray has been underwhelming but his ceiling is huge if given the opportunity in the middle.

At the moment:

Think people need to look outside the box for cover during the byes & also potential for a bit of cash generation. Robbie Gray fits the bill & I could definitely see him averaging 90 from here.

The other player I probably should mention is Walters, at the moment he's under 500k & has a great bye (for me at least), so he's a consideration. I will be on a threadbare budget over the next few weeks, around 150k , so I'll need to get creative. Think there's a little more safety in some of these fallen premos as opposed to rolling the dice on very suspect rookies.

Matthew Broadbent, will make some cash and be good coverage.

Would need to jump on this week to make it viable but a decent suggestion.

Every year I have a solid plan for the byes and every year it comes crashing down.

Hurn - probably out injured*
Whitfield - probably out injured*
Williams - probably not back from injury*
Hore - probably not back from injury*
Scott - definitely won't be back*
O'Brien - probably dropped for Sauce*

*note this isn't based on any reliable information, just my pessimistic worse case scenario :'(

Would probably end as a cheap F7, M9 floating option. Fits the mould of the player I would be taking a punt on in that role. Not that I personally am likely to have that luxury this year.

Add Rocky and Sloane to that list for me, Grundy had a sore ankle as well

Could legit have 12 players this round

And this was meant to be the easier of the 3 bye rounds too

Absolute carnage - I've planned so well for the bye in terms of player spread, but boy oh boy I couldn't have planned for 5+ injuries

ZWil, Crouch, Sloane, Hore, Whitfield all have question marks for me, not to mention a few dodgy rookies who could get dropped

I'm remaining optimistic though! Crossing everything  :D
