No Ellis or ROB due to lockout. Think everything else is in order. 7 Giants, 5 Hedgies and 3 Leeches. 2 line-ball calls so I favoured each team once.

Just an update after 2 games:

Premier Division
North: 121/1
South 1174/7

Reserve Division
North: 1357/6 (Captain played)
South: 99/1

Colts Division
North: 344/2
South: 630/4

Too early to speculate at this stage after 2 games but some strong starts.

SCORE UPDATES

Premier

North: 1278/8 (T.Stewart, Neale (c), Oliver, Gaff, Treloar, Parfitt, C.Sinclair to come)
South: 1904/10 (c) (Hurn, Salem, Crisp, Duncan, JPK to come)

Looks a fair bit lopsided and South do have more runs on the board. However the North still have their entire mdifield engine to come, and a score north of 250 from captain Neale and some supporting cameo's from Treloar, Oliver & Gaff could make coach iZander sweat a fair bit. 4 200+ scores across the board so far, with MacPherson the only one under 100.

Prediction: Averages have the South winning by less than 35 points. This is anyone's game. South by 50.

Reserves

North: 1980/11 (c) (Rich, Shuey, Angus Brayshaw & Redden to come)
South: 727/4 (11 to come)

What was looking like a comfortable glide for the North has been thrown into doubt somewhat by an abysmal showing from the North's GWS contingent. Meanwhile the South's 3-strong GWS contingent combined for 628... Way too many to come on the South side to make an accurate prediction, but looking at the quality of teams, you'd back the North to hold on. However they need the Angus of the last 2 weeks, not the one of the 6 weeks before that...

Prediction: North by 100

Colts

North: 1466/9 (Lloyd, Rampe, Dangerfield, T.Kelly (c), Sidebottom, Parker to come)
South: 1767/10 (c) (Sheppard, Dahlhaus, Franklin, Zorko, Heeney)

Another close one. Fyfe as captain has counteracted a fair few meh scores. However given that the North still has 4 175+ averaging players in the shed, you'd have to back them to come over the top here.

Prediction: North by 150

Challenge Prediction: 2-1 North

coach iZander  :o

Oh sorry didn't realise it was you. There being players under the age of 30 in the lineup fooled me.

Ringo

Thanks for that Koop was going to do a write up today.

Like the predictions as well although I think the Reserves with the number that South have left to come is up in the air and the winner of this game may decide the shield. Plenty of action still to come though.

Posting the scores as well so we all can see who is to come:

Ringo

Following last nights game score update

Premier Division:
North 1570/10 Captain Neale still to play
South 2125/12

North a chance depending on performance of Neale as C but still favour South here

Reserve Division:
North 2337/13
South 1287/8 Captain Grundy still to play

South a chance to catch if all remaining players perform to their averages and will Captain Grundy take his place.  North slightly favoured here

Colts Division:
North 1895/12 Captain Dangerfield still to play
South 2101/13

This match may decide the outcome of the shield . South 206 points ahead at the moment so it is:
Dangerfiield (c), Kelly and Sidebottom
v
Dahlhaus and Zorko

Really to close to call and a lot depending on Danger as Captain.
