Can't decide to bring in either Oscar Baker or James Rowbottom. Any ideas on who has the better job security?

Think you have to take the guy on the bubble in this situation.

YoungGun

who's spot has robbie young taken saints fans?

Why not stocker?

Rowbottom hasnt scored much better and stocker playing 3 straight. Carltron traded him in for a reason

Yeah but is stupidity a valid reason?

All the rookies this week are horrible but if you have to pick one it's gotta be Stocker

Rowbottom is a big no - horrible scoring, cash gen and bye cover chances and if you've already got Scott for example you're screwed

Priority for me will be Hately but if he misses the cut then I will be picking Rowbottom over Stocker, the reasons are pretty simple, when Stocker arrived at Carlton his aerobic capacity was average, in fact Richmond put a line through his name due to this. In the interview process Matthew Clarke ripped him apart based on his work off the ball & two way running. Now there's every chance he has improved but I think I'll take the guy with the better athletic specs at this stage. My question marks over Rowbottom are not athletic but more about his disposal by foot, as a junior he recorded the worst KE in the entire field, just a tick under 1 clanger for every 5 kicks. Concerning for sure but I think he'll benefit by playing on a smaller ground.

I would imagine It takes alot shorter time to improve your aerobic capacity then it does to turn from a horrible kick to an ok kick.

Although Stocker’s aerobic ability is nothing to be desired, he is possibly the best kicker in the draft on both feet. If named (I’m almost positive he will be) I’ll be taking Stocker over Rowbottom.

For him to get dropped for Simpson next week?

Possibly but Sydney has turned plenty of hack kicks into bonafide stars, Rowbottom cut from the same cloth as JPK, Jack, Hanners etc.

Haven't seen much of that composure to date but could be just nerves. In any case I really hope this conversation is null & void & we all get to pick Hately, that would be ideal.

On the bright side at least I get a decent loophole option.
