Rd 8 Banter and Lodgement

After last weeks Rivalry Rd we return to the normal draw with HGA again in effect.

Draw for Rd 7 with first named team having the HGA:

Leeds Leeches v Liverpool Rams
13th v 16th - If Rams get their best team available they may be able to get over Leeches but a big if and with HGA Leeches will be favoured.

Oxford Lions v Swansea Breakers
14th v 15th - Maybe be biased but this is a contender for match of the round. Which one of these teams will go 2/6 after this round? Breakers had their highest score of the year last week but will this continue into this week. If Lions select correct team including captain and HGA they should get the chocolates. So question is which if turns up.

Winchester Werewolves v Blackpool Bunnies
7th v 11th - Wolves returned to the winning list last week and with some of their injured stars returning should prove too strong for the Bunnies.

Huddersfield Hawks v Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs
12th v 8th - Hawks are capable of causing an upset here if they tighten their defence. Will it happen is the question?  Hawks have the better attack and Hedgies the better defence. Think with HGA and crowd cheering them on Hawks may get it done.

Nottingham Hoods v Birmingham Dragons
10th v 3rd - Question here is which Dragons team turns up.  As we have seen they can turn in stinkers and if they do against the Hoods who have been unlucky with the draw they will go home with their fire extinguished. On the other hand their best
can match it with anyone. Hoods are due for a change of luck and could cause an upset here in front of a huge home crowd.

Manchester Magic v Staines Steins
6th v 5th _ Another contender for match of the round. Steins were rocked with last minute injury to their Captain last week. If Captain is fit for this week should be a win to the Steins with too much fire power over the ground. However as has been seen in the past if they are slightly off they can be beaten.

Bradford Badgers v Hastings Hurricanes
1st v 2nd - This undoubtedly the match of the round with these two undefeated teams going head to head. Whoever gets on top in the midfield should go a game clear at the top of the ladder. Really a flip of the coin here but if pushed would go Badgers at home.

Grope Lane Giants v Wrexham Knights
4th v 9th - Credit to the Giants coaching team who have them currently in 4th position from the bottom 4 in both 2016 and 2017. Well done with trading and recruitment. With the coaches now having this team well tuned hard to see the Knights getting over the Giants.

Full lockout will come into effect at bounce of Swans and Bombers game on Friday night.
