Please pledge funds to help fight cancer! Examples of ways you can help:
1.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug nails the top captain of the round.
2.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug's POD cracks the 120 mark.
3.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug gets egg on his face and his number 1 scores under 100.
4.   Make a once off donation.

Did you know that this is the 9th year I've done this? I'll continue to help with a smile and free of charge but, if you want to thank me, please donate to my charity efforts! Each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week and a speicial POD choice.

The facts & thoughts:

Brodie Grundy
Last 3: 123, 78, 153 (118 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 147, 105, 80 (111 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 89, 124, 135 (116 avg)

147 last time Grundy played the Power but, of course, they didn't have Lycett. I think he'll be good again this week regardless of who Port has. Prediction - 120

Taylor Adams
Last 3: 120, 56, 116 (97 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 124, 128, 111 (121 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 93, 95, 78 (89 avg)

It's a bit of a risk with so many Pies midfielders but Adams seems to be the pick of the bunch this week. His history against the Power is great and two of his last three are good too. Prediction - 120

Max Gawn
Last 3: 112, 97, 125 (111 avg)
Last 3 against Hawthorn: 104, 127, 144 (125 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 112, 97, 107 (105 avg)

Big Max is one of the few rucks that scores well against McEvoy and I'm sure he'll do well again this week. Prediction - 125

Stephen Coniglio
Last 3: 115, 126, 112 (118 avg)
Last 3 against St Kilda: 98, 112, 115 (108 avg)
Last 3 at Manuka: 126, 74, 121 (107 avg)

Cogs is just chugging along scoring well. I'd be wary of a Steele tag so might look elsewhere. Prediction - 105

Lachie Neale
Last 3: 108, 76, 139 (108 avg)
Last 3 against Sydney: 95, 32, 131 (86 avg)
Last 3 at Gabba: 76, 135, 91 (101 avg)

Not sure what I think of Neale's last couple but I'm more worried about a tag from Hewett this week. He hasn't been smashing his competition but I wouldn't risk someone coming up against him regardless. Prediction - 100

Jack Macrae
Last 3: 91, 100, 109 (100 avg)
Last 3 against Richmond: 190, 96, 112 (133 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 100, 132, 107 (113 avg)

Jack Macrae scored 190 against the Tigers in Round 23 last year and will be my C this week (in DT at least) because I can't turn down his ceiling. His recent form is worrying but I'm confident the Tigers will let him get plenty of cheap possessions as long as they lead on the scoreboard. Prediction - 120

Marcus Bontempelli
Last 3: 85, 83, 116 (95 avg)
Last 3 against Richmond: 130, 113, 115 (119 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 83, 129, 128 (113 avg)

Another player in some average form right now but loves smashing the Tigers. No reason he won't do it again. Prediction - 120

Andrew Gaff
Last 3: 91, 115, 134 (113 avg)
Last 3 against Gold Coast: 122, 77, 96 (98 avg)
Last 3 at Perth: 115, 134, 109 (119 avg)

Despite a 91 last week, Gaff's still had a great start to the year and I'm confident he'll smash it against the Suns. Prediction - 120

Patrick Cripps
Last 3: 99, 93, 163 (118 avg)
Last 3 against North: 76, 103, 98 (92 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 93, 121, 120 (111 avg)

All the numbers aside from that 163 are starting to look bad. Cripps has fallen back to Earth the past two weeks and burnt me with the C last week. Usually, I'd be very worried for him against North but no Jacobs means he should bounce back. Prediction - 110

Patrick Dangerfield
Last 3: 138, 104, 66 (103 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 105, 88, 105 (99 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 104, 103, 85 (97 avg)

Danger went big last week but too up and down for me this year. Prediction - 100

Zach Merrett
Last 3: 108, 143, 128 (126 avg)
Last 3 against Geelong: 108, 150, 89 (116 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 108, 128, 95 (110 avg)

Merrett has the highest 3 game average in the comp right now and has scored very well against the Cats in the past. I like him this week at the MCG. Prediction - 125

Nat Fyfe
Last 3: 124, 92, 78 (98 avg)
Last 3 against Adelaide: 80, 150, 94 (108 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 67, 80, 116 (88 avg)

Not confident with Fyfe's scoring at the moment but last week looked to be back at this best after the concussion. Too risky for mine. Prediction - 105

LAHUG'S POD!

Jaeger O'Meara
Last 3: 134, 93, 132 (120 avg)
Last 3 against Melbourne: 126, 63, 87 (92 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 93, 132, 122 (116 avg)

Don't look now but JOM is the highest averaging mid in the competition but only in 5% of teams! I'd be looking at bringing him in and making him a weekly C option. 126 against the Dees last year and no reason he won't score that or more against the struggling Dees this week. Prediction - 125

The verdict:
1.   Jaeger O'Meara (125)
2.   Zach Merrett (125)
3.   Max Gawn (125)
4.   Jack Macrae (120)
5.   Brodie Grundy (120)

JOM has been insane, it's just too much of a risk to bring him in with his history  :'(

I wanted to try and bring him but need defenders/forwards more than I need midfielders

no Boak mate?

Reckon he'll cop a tag from Greenwood. And even if he doesn't, the Pies are hard to score against. Wouldn't be considering him this week.

190 in DT that's insane. At this stage I am way left field. Angus (VC) Taranto (C). Little wonder my AF team is a little wayward.

Brought in Gaff so he gets the C this week at home against the Suns.

Chelskiman

Macrae for me.  Don't think he'll go 190 again but think he has a 130-140 in him this week.
