Couple filtering through

Carlton: “.. based on the fact that they didn’t play out the (Round 6) game, there’s a chance they won’t come up to play against the Kangaroos (in Round 7)” Blues Assistant Coach Dale Amos on Kade Simpson (Hamstring) & Nic Newman (Knee) via @1116sen

With Simpson and Newman a chance to miss this weekend, Carlton could blood two debutants, including Liam Stocker

Geelong: "I can't see a way Jordan Clark isn't playing next week." Chris Scott has put our young defender right in this week's selection mix.

Nth Melbourne: Shaun Higgins (Illness) Probable for Round 7 I’m feeling good.. Had a light day today, but we’ve got an extended break & I’ll increase my (Training) loads later in the week. - Shaun Higgins

GWS Giants: Lachie Whitfield (Leg cork) Doubtful for Round 7 Whitfield is probably more unlikely than likely - Leon Cameron
GWS Giants: Stephen Coniglio (Finger) has avoided surgery He’s got to get through the main session tomorrow & sees how he pulls up - Leon Cameron

Brisbane: Good news for @brisbanelions with @HarrisAndrews31, @zacbailey33 and Rhys Mathieson all training with the main group today. All a ‘test’ to play this weekend.

Preuss ruled out again

Charlie Curnow expected to play

Aish also confirmed to miss another week which means there's a better chance that Greenwood holds his spot (which is bad news for Boak). We'll know all this before the first game, of course, but just a note for people planning to bring in Boak this week.

Hopefully Rocky goes nuts.

Scott: (On Clark playing this week) It’s a guarantee really. I’m not in the business of giving a young guy hope and going back on it.

Scott: (On Ablett resting) It will happen at some point. The message we’d like to convey is that Gary and a group of other players will be managed throughout the year. We don’t know when exactly that will be, but it’s coming.

Astbury out for the Tiges too
