Mid - Neale, Cripps, Fyfe, Oliver, M.Crouch, Walsh, Constable, Ross (Hayes, Gibbons, Scott)
Ruck - Grundy, Gawn (Bines)
Fwd - Boak, Danger, Heeney, T.Kelly, Daniel, Drew (Setterfield, Balta).

Or should I get Walsh for Macrae/Lloyd instead of one of the above?

This weeks trades are solid then re assess next week. Macrae will bottom out after 2 weeks so no point bringing him in a week to early and Lloyd is a must but will depend what Walsh does this weekend weather you'd move him on. Could score 110+ again.

You're in a great position and still in the race for #1 though so it's probably best at this stage to get the team finished the quickest way you can

I'm not in the greatest position at the moment, as I've just realised my bye structure is all over the place.

Currently ranked 105th with the team:
Def - Lloyd, Crisp, Williams, B. Smith, Hore, Duursma (Scrimshaw, Burgess)
Mid - Neale, Cripps, Oliver, Coniglio, Libba, Walsh, Constable, Ross (Atkins, Gibbons, Scott)
Ruck - Grundy, Gawn (ROB)
Fwd - Boak, Danger, Heeney, Moore, Baker, Drew (Petruccelle, Bines).
(347k cash, 24 trades)

Means that I have 8 premos (not including Moore) with the Round 13 bye, therefore I cannot afford to bring in T.Kelly/Hurn.

What are your thoughts on these plans?
This week: Atkins > Fyfe
Next week: Drew > Daniel, Scrimshaw > Answerth
Round 9: Constable > Macrae, Gibbons > rookie

I've strongly considered Rich, but that Round 13 bye is an absolute killer for me already I don't think I can bring in anyone else from that round

I only have Lloyd as a R13 defender, but every other line is full of them so I think I need to pass on Rich, and for that reason I am probably going to grab Caleb instead - same price as Rich, same averages, but Caleb better bye so he gets the nod

I haven't made any upgrades yet this season (other than Andrews -> Laird last week which was more of an injury sideways/luxury/correction)..

Was planning on getting Daniel this week as he's the only premo I can afford (already have Kelly), but I'm having second thoughts.

Has everyone already made upgrades this year? Is it a disaster if I just hold tight on my trades and wait?
Will I get stuck behind everyone? Especially because I want to double downgrade next week so any upgrades won't be until Round 9.

Very torn on what to do this week, I feel like rushing out Butters for Hayes might be a bad move, especially just for Daniel. Am I overthinking it? The lack of rookies this year is freaking me out.

What does your team look like, and what’s your trade and bank balance like atm? That’s the most important thing. I’ve made many trades - side down and up so far. I like playing aggressively for overall, but for league you have plenty of time if you’re winning your matchups.

There's a danger you'll be left behind but I wouldn't just trade for the sake of trading, you need to pick players as season keepers. As for Daniel, in the role he's in he'll be a good pick but if he gets switched out of that position he'll come back to the pack. That needs to be considered.

Playing for overall, my team is doing fine but not amazing, I have 48k in the bank, 26 trades, ranked about 18k. Lloyd & Neale are my top top priorities, so wasting cash and trades bringing in a so-so premium like Daniel seems a little short sighted, and in the long run might hurt my points more than keeping players like Collins on field for another week. That said, ditching someone like Libba to get in a Lloyd or Neale at this point also seems like waste.

Butters & Collins to Hayes & Daniel feels very much like a trade just for the sake of trading. I think I'm gonna hold and just bank cash and make my moves in the byes, where inevitably half the comp haven't prepared.

Personally I feel you will fall behind especially if you are playing for overall. The effect of being a step behind may well roll on for 3 or 4 weeks too. On top of that if you are planning a double downgrade next week I think an upgrade this week is an absolute must. If you are a bit suss on Caleb I think The Hoff has some appeal. If he can go 85+ that maybe enough to hold down F6 all things considered as well as ruck cover & great for the R13 bye.

Agreed The Hoff is suss & if you have already suffered from his output this year I can see why you would give him a big miss.

Wasn't going to grab Hayes because I didn't think Gibbons/Atkins were worth the trade, but now with Constable out it's actually given me options moving forward and I don't need to go early on a rookie like I was initially going to

Next week Gibbons and Petruccelle are gone, and next week is when we have plenty of choices so it works out well and double downgrading is the way to go - will grab 2 of Answerth, Corbett, Larkey, Joyce etc
