So I have l dropped 11,000 places in 2 weeks - Hate this game sometimes.

Probably easier to say who I wouldn't trade this week rather than who I would want to.  Terrible performances from most rookies and horrible choices for my VC (Brayshaw over Lloyd) and then C (Treloar over Grundy).

I need to offload Westhoff
and then just start downgrading underperforming rookies.

I knew it could only get worse after being top 200 - I didnt think it would be this much worse.

Didn't even break 1900 this week.  I have scored better in bye rounds!

Hope you all fared better than I did.

all part of the fun mate … I barely cracked 1900 so feels your pain … :(

languishing at 36,907 overall … :'(

couldn't risk loopholing Lloyd as Archie Smith was the bench rook and was named as an emergency, so went with Danger and the Cats underperformed.

I have underperformers in Crisp (might be time to call it quits on him already??), Zac Williams, Sheed looked affected by Gaff this rd, and then Danger as mentioned above …

I think Crisp to a Milera/Rich type for some cash and BE play, and then downgrade a rook as Brax is doing ...

Gigantor

Sheed and Hanley out for Hore and Ross

Leaves me a huge amount of cash to do a double upgrade next week

Boy I've really hashed my trades this season so far.

After Rd.1
Billings > Worpel - always felt uneasy about Billings and couldn't really see another trade to make and thought Worpel could at least match Billings average for less money.
Since then:
Billings 94, 108, 124
Worpel 97, 60, 92

After Rd.2
Heeney > Kelly - Longmire said Heeney was struggling with an ankle, Kelly was gunning it the first 2 rounds
Since then:
Heeney 121, 105
Kelly 93, 58

After Rd.3
Rockliff > Libba - thought Rocky might be subdued after his concussion. His BE was over 100, whilst Libbas was less than 20.
Rockliff 132
Libba 108

The Rocky trade I was aware I could lose some points and I made $180k+ on the trade. Libba rose 56k and still has a BE of 29 whilst Rocky rose 13k and has a BE 97. So from a cash generation point of view, I think that trade was still ok.

Feels like my team is worst than I started with. Danger (C), Wilkie's 72 on the bench beating my "prem" defenders Crisp (65) and Williams (53), Parker (30) and Pettucelle (33) on the field instead of Drew (49) and Setters (70) for a score 1872 is a disaster this week :'(

I can't do this to myself much longer. Traded Cripps after round 2 so I could bring in Worpel and Rich for Hore. Everyone was banging on about Cripps being tagged against Sydney and Worpel and Rich were scoring well. I only have myself to blame ):

Ross played really well and looked promising so he will come in for me. Id like to trade Westhoff but cash is tight so maybe Mumford.

Is it too late for Libba?

Anyone got thoughts on taylor Adams’s could be a bit of a pod or so the pies mids run too deep?

WhatMate

Looking at

Sheppard and Ross in for Williams and Balta

Sheppard has gone 85, 91, 95, 113 vs Brisbane, GWS, Collingwood, Fremantle. All these teams bar Freo are tough to score against so it a positive sign he improves on his current output

Football Factory

Scott for Ross

Balta for Hore via dpp

Probably reverse them at some stage  :-\   :D

Yep Sheppard is the one for me as well. Trading Parker and Clark for Ross and Sheppard as of right now.

Everyone I trade out does well so I'm glad some of you are in the same boat...

I'm thinking of dropping Sheed this week with Gaff killing his scoring. Also got Burgess, Lockhart, Parker, Petrucelle, Balta to deal with...

I have $343k in the bank so can upgrade instead of downgrade if I want to. Sheed to Gaff or Bontempelli as PODs is tempting. Double downgrading rookies to Ross and Hore is also tempting. Thoughts?

I think ill give Sheed another week but i agree with your concerns. For now i'm just going to jump on these rookies Ross and Hore with decent scores last week they should? increase a reasonable amount.

Sheed to bont, as good as gaff is he is more of a outside player so if he dosnt get big possessions he won’t really make up points with tackles etc but with the bont he is jack of all trades

chief007

Not sure how far may is away but would he affect hores scoring?.

Just realised i might have to give Ross a miss which is annoying. Only mid rookies I have are Walsh, Constable, Atkins and Stack all whom have low BEs.

in the same boat as you mate with the mid rookies.

That being said ive gone

Williams > Heeney (moved rozee to def)
Parker > balta (traded balta out for a week, hoping he gets a couple 60's together to generate a little cash, 181k is still cheap whilst he's getting games)

will prob change as teams are announced later in the week.
