After a bit of trade advice as he’s been underwhelming in the first few rounds..

Have 28 trades, relatively happy with my team and $177K in the bank. Can trade him to Lloyd now and get better rookie on field balance. Could also trade in Boak or Kelly.

Should I trade now or hold and expect Darling to improve?

He has to go

He was never a proven prem other than the first half of last year where he was amazing, but he doesn't have enough runs on the board

Trade him to Lloyd

I'm holding.  Picked him for a reason.  Averaged 97 (iirc) when you take out the injury scores.

I've kept an eye on him as a smoky for F6 based on what he did at the start of last year. But it's not looking amazing so far.

I'm not sure he has to go right away - but if Lloyd is the alternative it's got to be hard to hold. I reckon I'd pull the trigger if I were you

Picked him for the same reason. Trading because of Oscar Allen’s presence and he may regress to previous form..

I was tempted to start Oscar, and then considered bringing him in for Collins. In the end, he is having less impact on his own than I had hoped - I doubt he affects things all that much.

Nice wok, GD, straight to the point... Trading a forward to a defender. Defence rookie on, forward rookie spud off.....

OK Samm, I get it, sounds a good move. My worry is ppl talk about balance and structure all in one. The balance and structure, imo was determined by your starting team, unless you restructure. To me, balance and structure is about which lines have more and less rookies or mid-pricers.

I have him aswell. Considering a trade, but can't find a good enough option for someone who is 498k (already have worpel). What do you guys think?

Wait and use him with a fattened up rookie to get you an uber-premium in the next week or two. Hopefully he doesn't bleed too much cash. Other option is Marshall, but not sure if I would risk it.

for the few coaches on fanfooty who have darling what are you doing with him? I hoped he would improve yet he become even worse.

What makes pick darling worse is that him and boak were only 7k difference at the start of the season (now 194k a difference and 293 sc points). This difference is so significant that i would have been ranked 6k instead of 32k in overall rankings.

At this point in time he has lost so much cash that i would be wasting multiple trades to find enough cash just to turn him into a 'premo'

Rough. I think he will come good but I also think it could take a lot of weeks. I would say trading depends on how the rest of your team is going, if he's the only problem then get rid of him, but if your rookies aren't flying might be better off sorting them out and hoping he comes good.

The other thing is there aren't a whole lot of good forward options, boak or t Kelly, maybe bring in Baker and use the 220k to do an upgrade like Collins to laird

Thanks mate, I have already gone Collins to Kelly and setterfield to Baker. I felt Kelly had a quite a bit of value.
Hopefully Greene returns soon so I could do darling to Greene if he finds form
