The official mistakes thread

So every thread I see someone posting 'Why did I trade x out for y' or 'Why didn't I take the VC score' etc etc.

This thread is to log all the mistakes you make, because let's be honest we all make them.. no one has a perfect run through any season..

For me, trading out Collins for Parker instead of Hore or Balta is my big blunder so far. Going to miss out on a really good cash gen rookie because I just assumed Collins would miss games and didn't check the teams, meanwhile I am stuck with 2 guys who will really struggle to generate any money if any at all.

Starting Lyons as a PoD. Worst mistake ever.

Making room for Dusty in the mids.

Meant ditching TK up forward for a rookie.
Meant ditching MCrouch to fit Brad Crouch in.
Took Ridley in defence over Whitfield for Dusty.
Meant losing extra mid rookie on field.
Had Collins in but found spare cash for Ridley and then traded him Round 2.
Started Balta and fielded him Round 1 over Duursma. Traded Round 2 for Pahka.
Ditched Cripps VC Round 1 for Dusty 5 mins pre game and then went Grundy skipper.
Started Tobias Greene, played 1/3 games.
Started that Hore bag, traded to Wilkie and copped a 30 odd Round 2 with 60’s on bench.
Used 5 trades to clean this mess.

Starting Mundy thinking he would get more mid time replacing Neale and then seeing him being managed.
Starting Simmo over Whitfield.
and still out on Dusty but a lot in the same leaking boat.

Replacing Boak with Mundy a day before the season started. Cost me 140 odd points and a trade.

A couple of bad rookie choices, Balta and Parker and the selection of Hore, although I don't consider them huge mistakes.

Nuh jk... hmmm lemme see
1) had Neale/sheed/boak in my team a day before lockout, instead went with Steele/Greene/Conglio.
2) not going with my gut and trading Shaw + Heeney to Whitfield + Boak, instead i got Lloyd + parker (2 potential top 10 picks + 111 point loss)
3) Balta over Parker
4) Hore over Collins or Rozee

My only real frustration is starting Simpson, but had him in all preseason so not feeling too salty about it.

Brodie Smith, Crisp and Heeney have had some meh scores, but overall not a bad start for me.

for his price he's done pretty well so far. $330K and avg 82 so far is not bad.
