Captains for Cancer Council.

Please pledge funds to help fight cancer! Examples of ways you can help:
1.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug nails the top captain of the round.
2.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug's POD cracks the 120 mark.
3.   Pledge an amount (e.g. $5) for every time LaHug gets egg on his face and his number 1 scores under 100.
4.   Make a once off donation.

Did you know that this is the 9th year I've done this? I'll continue to help with a smile and free of charge but, if you want to thank me, please donate to my charity efforts! Each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week and a speicial POD choice.

We have a partial lockout this week for the Sydney vs. Melbourne game which means we can use the CAPTAINS LOOPHOLE!

How it works:

1.   Select a player from the Swans or Demons as your VICE CAPTAIN.
2.   For now, set your captain to someone worthy of captaincy in another game in case you forget to change it.
3.   IF your VC scores really well, sub a non-playing player onto the field and set them as captain.
4.   Make sure you have an emergency in the position of your non-playing captain!

Note: This has risks if there are any late withdrawals as you won't have cover.

The facts & thoughts:

Josh P. Kennedy
Last 3: 121, 120, 95 (112 avg)
Last 3 against Melbourne: 113, 100, 88 (100 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 120, 81, 99 (100 avg)

Nice little unique player that I'm considering bringing in, JPK can be loopholed this week after back to back scores of 120+. History against the Dees leaves a little to be admired but they leaked 5 tons to the lowly Bombers last week. Prediction - 120

Jake Lloyd
Last 3: 120, 127, 126 (124 avg)
Last 3 against Melbourne: 117, 96, 71 (95 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 127, 126, 91 (115 avg)

As I said last week, lock him in for 120+ every week. Prediction - 125

Max Gawn
Last 3: 107, 113, 68 (96 avg)
Last 3 against Sydney: 78, 81, 132 (97 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 132 (132 avg)

The other good loophole option, Max's scoring doesn't scream VC just yet but he's gone big before and I'd take the 132 he had last time he played at the SCG. Prediction - 110

Brodie Grundy
Last 3: 122, 112, 84 (106 avg)
Last 3 against Bulldogs: 124, 94, 119 (112 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 122, 112, 84 (106 avg)

The Bulldogs ruck stocks are down but so is scoring from rucks in general this year. Neither Witts nor McEvoy could ton up against the Dogs but I do think Grundy will. Prediction - 115

Adam Treloar
Last 3: 98, 152, 125 (125 avg)
Last 3 against Bulldogs: 130, 125, 119 (125 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 98, 152, 125 (125 avg)

Loves the dogs and should bounce straight back from last week's disappointing 98. The concern is whether or not his poor score was from the return of Adams and one too many mids. Still a very good choice this week given his history against the Dogs. Prediction - 125

Jack Macrae
Last 3: 132, 124, 107 (121 avg)
Last 3 against Collingwood: 113, 116, 139 (123 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 124, 190, 133 (149 avg)

Collingwood are very tough to score against this year and that doesn't bode well for Macrae. His history is enough that you wouldn't be wrong to back him, particularly at the MCG, but be a little wary. Prediction - 120

Marcus Bontempelli
Last 3: 129, 111, 128 (123 avg)
Last 3 against Collingwood: 60, 89, 137 (95 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 111, 130, 118 (120 avg)

Same goes for the Bont as it does for Macrae. The numbers look great but Collingwood's been stingy. Highest score of 108 against them this season? Yuck. Prediction - 110

Patrick Dangerfield
Last 3: 132, 134, 103 (123 avg)
Last 3 against GWS: 109, 114, 142 (122 avg)
Last 3 at Kardinia: 134, 158, 115 (136 avg)

Danger just loves playing at home and has been great against the Giants in the past. I'm liking this one a lot. Prediction - 130

Lachie Whitfield
Last 3: 162, 133, 109 (135 avg)
Last 3 against Geelong: 94, 74, 123 (97 avg)
Last 3 at Kardinia: 94, 74, 126 (98 avg)

As a non-owner, I'm praying that the Cats slow Whitfield down this week. His history against them is poor but he's killing it right now. Prediction - 120

Lachie Neale
Last 3: 135, 146, 91 (124 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 101, 100, 86 (96 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 117, 102, 96 (105 avg)

Speaking of killing it, Neale's last couple have been huge. Brayshaw's 129 against the Bombers last week (from less than 70% TOG) is the kinda thing I'm expecting from Neale. Prediction - 130

Rory Sloane
Last 3: 120, 110, 144 (125 avg)
Last 3 against North: 93, 65, 84 (81 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 67, 91, 97 (85 avg)

No Jacobs means Sloane will run free AGAIN this week. 125 average on the season so far and I don't see that slowing down until taggers come to play. Prediction - 125

Matt Crouch
Last 3: 101, 101, 132 (111 avg)
Last 3 against North: 136, 116, 101 (118 avg)
Last 3 at Docklands: 95, 123, 96 (105 avg)

A bit of a disappointing last two weeks for Crouch owners but his history against the Roos gives me hope he'll bounce straight back. Prediction - 115

Patrick Cripps
Last 3: 121, 116, 101 (113 avg)
Last 3 against Gold Coast: 162, 95, 101 (119 avg)
Last 3 at Metricon: 162, 101, 89 (117 avg)

What a way to finish the weekend this will be. Cripps scored 162 last time he played the Suns and there's no reason he won't do it again. Having a good year so far. Prediction - 135

LAHUG'S POD!

Travis Boak
Last 3: 118, 138, 144 (133 avg)
Last 3 against Richmond: 79, 94, 132 (102 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 138, 86, 82 (102 avg)

Where was my crystal ball preseason when I dropped Boak to Greene in DT to free up cash for other lines? Boy does that one hurt... If you have Boak, doubling down as a POD captain is not a bad move. He used to go big against the Tigers when he played midfield and now he's back in that role. Ollie Wines didn't look to slow him down either. Potential - 135

The verdict:
1.   Patrick Cripps (135)
2.   Patrick Dangerfield (130)
3.   Lachie Neale (130)
4.   Jake Lloyd (125)
5.   Adam Treloar (125)

How does one choose between Gus and Lloyd for the VC, reckon one in DT and the other in AF is the only answer  :-\

I write it for Doctor Supercoach each week. Follow their Facebook page or here: http://www.drsc.com.au/

Chelskiman

Yeah, Lloyd or Gus for VC, haven't decided yet.

Football Factory

Hmmm can't see myself taking Brayshaws score  :o

Chelskiman

Went Brayshaw in Fantasy but Lloyd in RDT.  Is 122 enough from Lloyd though?

Did the same, I think not.
