Laird, Coniglio and Billings on my radar.
Didn't think of this one. Priced at $537k with a BE of 108, he might be one to look at... Whitfield at $605k with a BE of 65 is probably more important for me to jump on right now though.

The tricky thing is working out what to do this week. I need to chase cash as I still have none in the bank so can't even upgrade to anyone at this rate. Tempted to drop Oliver to a rookie as he's bleeding and doesn't look like himself...

My "premiums" and midpricers are as follows. Worth dropping any of them to restructure?

Def: Witherden, Williams, Smith
Mid: Cripps, Oliver, MCrouch, Coniglio, Brayshaw, Crouch, Liberatore
Ruc: Grundy, Gawn
Fwd: Dangerfield, Heeney, Greene, Moore

I've had Constable rotting on the bench all season instead of playing him while I've had to play three of Drew, Setters, Parker, Petrucelle since Round 2. Only def rookie I'm concerned about is Burgess but the others are all doing their job scoring 70+ for me.

Something like Oliver/MCrouch/Cogs/Brayshaw (which one? they all suck) to a rookie (Stack or Hore probably) and a forward rookie to a forward premium makes sense I think...

I can understand your frustration.

Now, I am assuming Greene gets a call up this week and you hold onto him. If that's the case then I would be looking at how to get Lloyd or Whitfield as your first move preferably using one of your mids that you think won't make the cut as a top 10-12 mid. I'm thinking B.Crouch maybe especially given his injury history. You can offload one of Smith or Williams to do it if you prefer, but for structural purposes I would target a mid.

This would then leave you with a team looking like this:

Def - Whitfield (or Lloyd), Witherden, Williams, Smith, Duursma, Scrimshaw (or Collins)
Mid - Cripps, Oliver, MCrouch, Coniglio, Brayshaw, Liberatore, Walsh, Constable
Ruc - Grundy, Gawn
Fwd - Dangerfield, Heeney, Greene, Moore, Drew, Rookie

The team starts to look more structurally sound, with your only real weak point being the F6 rookie. If you can somehow use loophole (maybe Setterfield given he is suspended) to manage that risk then that's what you should do until a couple of rookies fatten up and then turn them into a Boak or T.Kelly or even Marshall depending on how he is going and your cash position.

If Greene isn't named this week then I would seriously consider trading him to Marshall and get Lloyd or Whitfield next week. Lloyds breakeven is 124 so he won't be going up in price.

That's the way I would go about it FWIW.

It's a fine line LH. You say you have Cons at M9 so I assume you have Walsh at M8. That being the case your mids are identical to mine except I started Neale where you started Oliver. Fine line indeed. I too am fielding 3 FWD rooks + I have Balta at F8. This is where Toby has let you down badly. I have Billings at F3 who has been not only been playing but making a positive contribution thus far.

Yeah, Walsh M8. You're right that Greene has killed me. To think I had all of Boak, Daniel, Worpel in there at some stage and went with Greene. Not trading him to Marshall is the other killer but now it's too late... Do I just do rookie trades as I normally would?

Probably a bit late to be doing structural changes LH as Constable probably only has another 2/3 weeks before you ship him on assuming he hits around 350k.

My big question is can Buddy turn it around. 450k so can probably get him cheaper but also wanna take advantage of getting him in early. Would give me Danger Heeney Buddy Worp Greene

Obviously hasn’t looked his best but he’s definitely not past it like some people mention. Averaged 100 last year.

He's not "passed it" as a player but he might be as an SC option - hasn't shown a thing to suggest that he will all of a sudden be a great option this year

Wow, that's just horrible and you'd be a brave man to bring him in off that

Buddy only scored 8 tons last year, but when he does score he pumps out the biggies - 178, 175, 161.

Trick is to get him when he's just about to kick a bag, easier said than done but I suppose if you buy low then you get the benefit of a big cash advance down the track. He's definitely on my radar but I would want him at 400k I think.

It's bold & could come crashing down but it could also make you a quick 150k if you get the timing right, not to mention the bumper scores. Don't think I'd do it myself, reckon it's more of a late season play, particularly if you are looping.

Got no idea on trades. Maybe Clark to Rotham even tho Clark still has money to make & Rotham JS is shaky but which DEF rook comes in whose JS is not shaky? Def gonna go Cons to Ross next week assuming he is named on the bubble even tho Cons has money to make too. In some ways Cons at M9 helps here as it doesn't change my starting 8 in the MIDs. Still doesn't leave me with anywhere enough money to do much. Eyeing either Laird to my DEF (which I probs cannot afford) or risky Lobb/Hoff to my FWDs only because of their potential Ruck cover value + the fact I got no money!

Looks like we're stuck in similar spots then. I think I need to make at least one cash grab this week though as I'm still sitting with an empty bank. So yeah, Clark to Rotham/Hore might be the go...

Are the Swans just completely gone though? If they can't improve their scoring and start winning games is a KPP forward just way too much of a risk?

Couldn't touch him unless the Swans come good but can't see it happening.

There's many ways to skin a cat Raisy, trading Fyfe for example was the smart play. The irony is that in two weeks Libba will be exceptionally close to Fyfe's value. Get where I'm coming from?

If Buddy bottoms out at 400k, then clocks in a couple of biggies & hits 550k I'd then be looking at what fallen prems could replace him. Tim Kelly is looking like hitting 450k, he's a bit more consistent too, that would be a trade I would entertain, rather than the stereotypical rookie cull.
