Upgrade targets

Thought I'd start a thread to look at guys who could be super cheap in a few weeks prime for the picking. Projections all based off SC Gold.

DEF:
Simmo 517k BE 170 Projected 480k next week.
Laird 555k BE 154 Projected 530k next week.
Short 415k BE 147 Projected 355k in two price changes.

MIDS:
Yeo 540k BE 160 Projected 510k next week.
Dusty 520k BE 180 Projected 450k in two price changes.
Jelwood 530k BE 160 Projected 480k in two price changes.

FWDS:
T Mac 450k BE 188 Projected 395k next week.
Buddy 485k BE 150 Projected 455k next week.
Westhoff 510k BE 214 Projected 430k in two weeks.

For me, the forwards represent huge huge value. What are we all thinking ?

My trade plans see me thinking

Butters 275k to Stack 102k +175k, gives me 400k in bank. Butters probably makes another 50k but I'm satisfied his job is done.

Then thinking Setterfield 200k to TMac
Then Parker/Drew to the Hoff in two weeks.

Helps me get those putrid forward rookies off my field. Wanna probably watch TMac but guy has gone 90+ 4 seasons running and he's too good to not turn his form around. Melbourne will come good.

Well my targets (all of basically identical priority) are Lloyd, Whitfield, Macrae and Neale. Boak maybe, but happy with my fwds atm. I'm not sure whether to go for these guys who are needed, but are expensive, or save and get guys like Westhoff, Short (when he gets back after recovering from injury) who'll be much better value, and hope the more expensive guys have an off day and drop. Decisions.

It's a fine line hey. Hence why I'm not making any upgrades down back as I'm gonna need the cash for the two big guys Lloyd and Whitfield. Neale is my first mid upgrade from Walsh but he can wait.

Those guys are all dropping for a reason

Hoff, purely for DPP I'd be somewhat keen on, but need to see some decent scores

I'll try and look for these value type players a little later in the season - maybe even around the byes - but for now I'm aiming for guys who are in great form and look good

Currently have Dunkley and have the money to upgrade him to Boak, is it worth it?
Do we expect Boak to score like this all year? And do we think Dunkley will get any better?

Might look at him as an early upgrade next week and hope he turns it around.

If Whitfield averages 20 more than the other defender I doubt you will make that back in the byes

Laird is nearly a must, Short is a very intersting one. Will have a look at him at 350k for sure.

Furst updgrade target at the moment is Laird.

Dursma/Collins to Laird in 2-3 weeks.

Think it's really imperative to get the top scorers in as soon as possible, Lloyd, Boak & Neale the guys I really need. Will look at Boak this week & then possibly Lloyd the week after.

The only way you're getting them in this early is by sideways trading

Don't go burning too many trades doing that ;)

Hopefully in 2 weeks time I can get a prem forward - that's probably my first upgrade, as Setters/Drew/Parker all looking dicey now

If Fyfe & Greene are out I'm trading 100%, way too early in the year to have 2 premos missing.
