Every chance Fyfe only misses a week

Can't trade him imo

Need to show some restraint early on, especially when there is no LTI

It's a long season, save the trade

I get where you're coming from but chances are Fyfe sheds some cash & then becomes open fodder for anyone with some chump change. Any advantage you have is lost because the massess jump on. Then there's the points lost this week. I'll be taking this opportunity to restructure because I know how difficult it will be to get Lloyd down the track, sideways maybe but my team looks a truckload better with the number 1 defender in the side.

As for getting Fyfe back, absolutely, but if he drops to 520-560k like I expect (judging by other players returning from concussion) it will be a simple case of trading Constable to say Ross & then upgrading Walsh. Have done the numbers & this looks entirely doable.
So you're gonna trade Fyfe, then cull the 2 best scoring mid rookies early before they've peaked when Ross is on the bubble in 2 weeks to get him back? Not having a go, just trying to see how it will work. If Fyfe misses 1 week then he will only have 1 price drop before u get him back.

Looked at trades and think it's best to do nothing this week.
If Greene doesn't play then I will reassess.

For me this is a structural change, Lloyd is essential in my opinion, he's just as valuable as Docherty & any side aiming for top spot needs him. As far as the logistics is concerned, he'll be tough to get in at a later stage. Have gone over this territory many times in the past, defence is looking barren for rookies so I'm sealing this as best I can. All the bargains are in the forward line & in the midfield, that will be my sole focus for the next half dozen rounds.

As for getting Fyfe back, I'm simply not confident he'll hit the round running so I'm expecting a decent discount, Walsh & Constable should be fairly ripe in two weeks, making that transition not devastating to my points scoring. Ross I'm very confident about, his VFL form has been outstanding and he's a bit of a manchild, with Cotch out he'll get a decent run.

And for the record, I'm sitting on 30 trades at the minute, this may come across as a luxury trade but there's plenty of method to the madness. With my rookies stalling a bit, protecting my investments has become paramount.

30 trades, what are you waiting for?  go for it, lots of upside

Tempted to rage trade Hoff to Grundy since I don't have him. I've literally burnt 2 trades (Pierce>Hoff>Grundy) to get there (and that would be number 5 on the season already :-X) but it probably makes sense.

The time to grab Hoff will be when Dixon is back. He is going to be a roller coaster until he moves up the ground. On the plus side, he plays Richmond this week if I do hold....

I have managed to get my side looking from this

B - Williams, Smith, Moore, Scrimshaw, Clark, Durrsma (Wilkie, Burgess)

M - Macrae, Cripps, Oliver, Neale, Fyfe, M.Crouch, Walsh, Constable (LDU, Scott, Atkins)

R - Gawn, Grundy (Bines)

F - Dangerfield, Heeney, Dunkley, Setterfield, Drew, Parker (Petruccelle, Balta)

to this -

B - Whitfield, Williams, Smith, Scrimshaw, Clark, Durrsma (Wilkie, Burgess)

M - Macrae, Cripps, Oliver, Neale, M.Crouch, Walsh, LDU, Constable (Scott, Setterfield, Atkins)

R - Gawn, Grundy (Bines)

F - Dangerfield, Heeney, Boak, Moore, Drew, Parker (Petruccelle, Balta)

Fyfe and Dunkley > Whitfield and Boak

Somehow through hitting the trade button and clicking on the "s" sub symbol I managed to move 3-4 players around and got Moore back down to the forward line which means I only have to play 2 shower forward rookies instead of 3.

I am really happy with my trades and the restructure now. Will get Fyfe back once he shreds some cash. 8)

all those that traded libba to rockliff 2 weeks ago

Gone Dusty > Libba and Drew > Worpel

DEF: Crisp, ZWill, Smith, Duursma, Clark, Scrim
MID: Macrae, Fyfe, Cripps, Sloane, BRouch, Libba, Constable, Walsh
RUC: Grundy, Gawn
FWD: Dangerfield, Heeney, Greene, Worpel, Moore, Pahka

Plus all the relevant rookies. Forward line looks solid now, cya to those 3 putrid rookies on field.
Gotta target the backline now. Need to get Lloyd in ASAP, still hoping Whitfield drops

Haha....I can't see anybody actually doing that

jvalles69

Brad Crouch is still fairly cheap, tempting to trade him in for Fyfe as I feel concussions can linger. Waste?

bkimm32

Literally everyone in here are suggesting or contemplating sideways trades...

Why?

Back your players in and save a trade.

Lloyd or Whitfield might score 60 this week while Brodie Smith has a 120. Same goes with Lachie Neale... Fyfe might play in a fortnight and score 200.

Even if things don't go like this, Neale and Lloyd aren't necessarily "must haves" at this stage of the season. Yes, you will want to finish with them in your team, but as long as you've spent your cash wisely in other areas, you don't need to burn trades to get them in asap. None of these guys are prime Gazza Jr. They will have below average games eventually. That's when you pounce.
