* What's the absolute worst case scenario here? In two weeks if things are looking dire with scoring and/or cash generation he can always be traded at a profit, whether that be down to Greene or up to Boak/Kelly or even a cheeky sideways to Buddy.
He gets a 40 this week and gets dropped for Pierce/Longer.

What makes you think he'll score 40? He's averaging 112 in his 3 games (2 H&A and 1 JLT). If Longer named then probably not worth it but if Longer stays in the VFL then I suspect Marshall is the go-to man for the forseeable future.

Oh I don't think he will, you just asked worst case scenario ;)

As a ruckman with shaky JS, one bad game could mean he gets rotated out.

frenzy

a man with 30 trades left is dangerous to those with 24, Lol.   ::) you can take risks.

Longer had 47 hitouts in the VFL on the weekend, cannot tell ya if he got a kick but.

And I gone Marshall this week   ;)

Well, I'm in the same boat, this will be my second trade for the year after doing Fyfe to Libba, think it sets me up well to grab a fallen premo in the event Marshall stalls. Happy if I can walk away with 70k, even happier if Marshall continues his scoring. Not much to lose in my opinion. As a fall back option can easily sideways to Buddy in a fortnight, or back to Greene if & when he comes back.

I might be silly but holding. The last 2 weeks are sunk costs, you can't recover them. Look to the future and weigh up the cost of playing a rook for an extra week then Greene thereafter.

The only rational reason to trade is if you believe he is out for more than one week again, or won't come back in scoring the numbers you thought he would when you picked him preseason

The last two weeks are sunk in terms pf points but Marshall's earnings are there for the taking, with rookies slowing down I'm all over this opportunity. The other problem with holding Greene is that some of the rookies will be close to his price so I'm expecting quite a few to jump on if he fires.

There's already been an article stating he'll miss, would be very surprised to see his name on the team sheet.

Heh, I posted that same article on the previous page last night :)

Sounds promising for sure, but with no real quotes from any coaches it doesn't hold too much weight I guess

Think we can just look at the stats ourselves, tackles, clearances, possessions all elite for a ruckman. Small sample but if he manages another ton he becomes very tough to ignore, could be a season defining trade considering his ownership is 0.5%.

I'm almost sold

I'll be super annoyed if Greene misses again.
He will be rage traded out for Marshall if he is. Not holding again. Loopholed Setterfield's 37 and ended up with Petruccelle's 58 last week. My F4-6 (Drew, Parker and Petruccelle) netted me a combined 141 pts (47 ave). Would rather not go there again.
Hopefully Greene plays. Otherwise Marshall is locked.

I could go Greene > Marshall and Dusty > Lloyd but means missing out on Libba....

I think the biggest concern is Longer. If he plays he can only play ruck, he is useless anywhere else. He could come in next week to help against Gawn + Preuss after we trade him in and stuff things up.
I haven't got Greene (traded him straight after round 1 to Rozee) but Dunkley has gotta go. Whoever I get will be F3. The 160k plus whatever Marshall makes is very tempting.
