Yep Heeney is fine.

Oliver on the other hand.  >:(

Oliver did good. Copped a hard tag all night from hewett/jones

Thought he played well, some of his clangers were also marginal.

Yeah couple of clangers but they were under huge amounts of pressure. He will come good soon

imjusflexin

I take back anything I said earlier, I deserve every name I'm called for trading him. Very stupid.

Gonna just try put him out of my mind until the byes... hopefully he's not 600k.  :'(

LOL who are you calling nuffies? This is literally you on the first page of the official mistakes thread...

Making room for Dusty in the mids.

Meant ditching TK up forward for a rookie.
Meant ditching MCrouch to fit Brad Crouch in.
Took Ridley in defence over Whitfield for Dusty.
Meant losing extra mid rookie on field.
Had Collins in but found spare cash for Ridley and then traded him Round 2.
Started Balta and fielded him Round 1 over Duursma. Traded Round 2 for Pahka.
Ditched Cripps VC Round 1 for Dusty 5 mins pre game and then went Grundy skipper.
Started Tobias Greene, played 1/3 games.
Started that Hore bag, traded to Wilkie and copped a 30 odd Round 2 with 60’s on bench.
Used 5 trades to clean this mess.

Need I go on?

So basically you’re just lucky your starting team was so garbage with Dusty, Ridley, Greene etc. that you never had the chance to consider trading Heeney! ;D

Comment got deleted but anyway, Monty you started Greene and sounds like you traded Heeney and you’re a shower coach so get outta here please

enzedder

If Daniel outscores Witherden by 24 points then I’m all square on total points after my double trade involving Heeney after 2 rounds.
At this stage looks like I have sideways traded at a cost of 2 trades but I believe that by the byes I will be way in front.
Hopefully, anyway.
It’s a marathon, not a sprint so nothing ventured nothing gained is how I’m looking at it.
Clearly I wish I had the two trades still up my sleeve but it’s only 2 games to this point and anything can happen in SC.

Haha don’t stress champ, it’s just a bit of banter ;)

Anyway, generally it seems that coaches who had bigger problems held Heeney and coaches that basically nailed their starting team took a risk and traded Heeney hoping to get an edge on the rest. No-one really knew honestly how bad Heeney’s ankle was or how long Horse would leave Heeney starving up forward at the time...

Now that has obviously backfired harder than anyone could’ve predicted lol, but that’s Supercoach :) There have been plenty of seasons where I have held a premium hoping they’d turn it around and they never have, putting me out of overall contention.

True credit goes to the minority who nailed their starting team and held their nerve by not trading. Well done to those coaches!

batt

I'm a Heeney trader.

Figured his ankle would be be bothering him for a while like it did in the first two weeks.  That theoretically meant he'd be playing predominantly forward.

From the outside looking in now I'm still confident his price will drop before the bye so I can bring him back in.

SilverLion

Just goes to show that Billings and Hibberd (maybe Martin this year?), are exceptions to the rule, rather than the norm.

Jalapeno

Glad I held him but understand the people who traded. It is a coin flip and you have to take the risks to get ahead of the pack.

He won't score 130 every week so at some point he will be obtainable again.

Money Shot

I always try and get my rookies right and then worry about premiums. I traded Balta and Hore out before round 3 as I wanted to make cash. Parker and Scrimshaw came in and did that perfectly.

Heeney wasn’t even considered as a trade option for that reason. Maybe if I had the perfect rookies I would have considered it because after round 2 things were looking quiet grim.

Still don’t think you can call people noobs for the move.
