Yeah the name calling is pathetic. Are the people that traded Dusty “noobs”? Same logic of “never trade your premiums” applies to that one and it’s looking like the people that jumped off are the big winners.

kilbluff1985

half you ppl laughing are trading Dunkley or were gonna trade Dusty even before he got suspended

so lol back at ya

Spot on!

Agree that the name calling (although I don’t think any hard was intended) is a bit over the top.

Although I am pretty strong with my “never trade a premium” rule it has bit me in the past, looking at you Hibberd and Billings >:( and after two games Heeney had ankle injury concerns and was playing deep forward so trading him didn’t sound like a bad move.

He also isn’t going to kick four goals every week and didn’t have the best post bye scores last season.

I have kept him as I think he will be a top 6 forward come seasons end but it’s a bit early to be calling people “noobs” just because he has had one good score.

Bully

Don't judge anyone for making the move, I was within a whisker of going Boak.

Agree with comments name calling not on. Leave judgement to the end of the season. I was also close to doing Heeney to Boak as well but settled for the one trade to give Heeney another chance.

I'm more of a noob for not trading Greene to Rozee than people are noobs for trading out Heeney...

People seem to think a single trade is the defining factor on whether people are ‘noobs’ etc, but it’s more complex than that. Yes, Heeney fired up, but if two trades were used to restructure and get better rookies on the field, as well as a missing premo on another line it could still end up being a net gain.

These first weeks are corrective trades, so personally I’m not too fussed if I need to trade someone back in later - I’m just looking for the best structure to carry me to fattening and upgrade season

Well said. Getting the right rookies and making the right structural adjustments can really set you up for the year. It's a marathon and not a sprint as they say. Easier to make structural changes at the start if possible than having to scramble later on to fix things. Either way you will have to burn a trade or two to get it right so why not do it at the start.

You're just a n00b regardless

I agree re: structural change.

I made the grave mistake in not starting one of Lloyd\Whitfield so when Fyfe got injured I jumped at the chance to restructure my team.

I also had Dunkley who wasn't playing in the midfield as promised by Bevo.

The best 2 trades for me therefore was to go Fyfe > Whitfield and Dunkley > Boak to strengthen both ends of the ground for me.

Through DPP I also managed to get Moore back down to F4.

None of this would be possible if Fyfe didn't get injured but I have taken advantage of it to restructure my team.

No regrets and am happy with my trades this week. :)

Just gonna point out that Saturday was Heeneys second ton in 12 games (14 if you count his JLT).

It’s still too early to say for sure if trading him was wrong. Even Billings ripped out a 133 last season and we all know what happened after that.

That being said he should ton up against the dees. They’re even less defensively responsible than Carlton.
