Alright, With the season now underway i thought i would post up my team and do updates each week with scores, transfers ect.
So here is my starting team

Round 1 score: 2062 Rank: 38,436 Bank: $27.5k

Overall i am pretty happy with my starting squad and score. In hindsight i probably should have taken Cripps VC but oh well i'm sure i wasn't the only one who passed it up.

Won't be making any rage trades this week, Although Balta and Burgess could be on the chopping block if no improvement is shown.

Pretty Gutted i swapped Fyfe - Oliver last minute but still happy with my premium selections.

Heading into round 2 i will likely move D.Moore down back benching Scrimshaw and playing Parker over Burgess. Might also play B.Scott over Butters also. VC will likely stay Cripps into Conigs/Neale

Hey mate

Nice looking team.
Oliver should bounce back - will be his lowest score of the year.
Re Cripps VC, just remember how Oliver went against Port mids, hopefully Cripps does better.

Good luck

Early days but I would say you have done well skipping the Brouch/Libba M6/M7 combo that I & many others have run with. From my perspective I hope the tables turn on that this week but looking back Libba was never gonna get enough genuine MID TOG given the multiple options & only 12 months on from his 2nd ACL. Anyway, you got the rookies about as good as you can get 'em. I think Greene will only improve (had him right up until lockout & sort of regret it, he looked pretty solid, hopefully he snots someone). I can see why you regret the Fyfe Oliver deal. Pretty much same price. Pretty much 1/2 the score + Fyfe a little underdone TOG. Fyfe got tagged by Dumont early but I think NM might of dropped that as the game drifted away. Not that it mattered, Fyfe dominated from 1/2 way through the 1st regardless.

Commander

Cheers fellas! Yeah i believe Oliver will bounce back. Don't see the point in rage trading him out only to probably bring him back in later in the season.

I still think Libba and B.Crouch will be solid picks and have good seasons baring any injury. Crouch is more of a ticking time bomb because you just never know when it's going to go off. Also with D.Moore and Greene in my side i tried to avoid having too many injury risks.

Rookies i am really happy with. Avoided the Collins mess as i refused to pay 188k for a KPD. Only real rookies that i potentially missed were Wilkie, Joyce, Petruccelle & Shultz but i don't believe any of them are must haves so will re asses trades next week.

Fyfe did lookgreat and with Freo's good early fixtures he will likely be my first upgrade target

Hey mate, very nice looking team. With the Balta situation, i wouldn't worry just yet because he is most likely going to be the one to head down back and help replace Rance because he used to play a fair bit of defence in the VFL. So i think his scoring is going to change and considering we are playing a very good team in Collingwood, we should see the ball down there a bit.

Ringo

Nice Team and ok to sit.

Hard decision is which 2 of the 5 rookies to play in mids each week.  You were not the only one with Scotts 103 on the pine.

Switch of Moore will improve team and agree that if Balta named in defence his scoring will increase.

Commander

Yeah i agree if Balta goes down back he will be a hold, if not probably a trade but will wait for teams.

Mid rookies are always hard as to who to play on field. figured if i'm paying $200k for Walsh i'd play him and while he didn't score great the potential is definitely there. Scott's 103 hurts but i'm just glad to have selected the right rookies for now rather than having to burn a trade bringing them in so will start him over Butters this week and hopefully get it right

ROUND 2 TEAM..

Image from Gyazo" width="726

Round 2 score: 2262 Rank: 24,142 Bank: $27.5k

Had a very solid week and moved up 14k spots in the rankings.
Held off on trades as i could field a full squad. Oliver bounced back as predicted and have decided to hold Greene for now.
Conigs was always going to cop the Hutchings tag after his round 1 performance but i expect him to also bounce back this week.
Took a punt with Neale as captain as i wasn't sure how Cripps/Oliver and Grundy would go but it paid off massively!!  8)
Once again i had the wrong mid rookies on field and this is starting to cost me valuable points so i think the best option is to just play Constable from now on as he seems he will be the most consistent.
D.Moore proving he could be a great pick up at his price. As a pies fan i really hope his body doesn't let him down as he's looking great down back.

Now i will be making trades this week. Heeney is 100% gone for me. Carrying an ankle injury atm and have no idea how bad it actually is but his role in the side is clearly affecting his scoring and i'm willing to take the risk of trading him out. Usually i am against trading out premos but the past few seasons this has cost me holding on too long so this season i'm making the correction. Boak will be his likely replacement. As for my other trade i will look at bringing in Rozee for either Hore or Balta depending who's named. If Greene misses again it's tough as i could also go Heeney - Kelly and Greene - Worpel but will have to wait on teams to decide which way to go. Let me know what you guys think!? Cheers..

HappyDEZ

Ouch Coniglio. I have him too. Good to see GG & Oliver hit back nicely (as did Brouch & Libba on my side of the coin) Parker provided excellent coverage for Greene. We will know this week if Greene was just being protected from a tough road trip on an ultra hard surface or if he has a genuine niggle when teams are named this week. If he is out again I would probably strongly consider the Heeney & Greene OUT & Boak & Worpel IN trades. Getting the right rookies on field is always a lottery. Agreed Constable looks the most consistent so far but does that just mean he is the most likely to have a down day away to the Crows? If Scott gets a rest you could maybe use him to loophole Constable with Butters. Anyway, Good Luck!

ROUND 3 TEAM...

Image from Gyazo" width="700

ROUND 3 SCORE: 2295 RANK: 15,780 BANK: $192,800K

Another reasonable week moving up 9k spots in the rankings.
Came to my senses and decided to hold Heeney. PHEWW! Only trade made was Greene - Rozee. Another decision that paid off!
Happy with my premos at this stage and while most of the rookie scoring was down i avoided having them on field this week.

Now the bad - Hore not playing and was very poor in the VFL so i highly doubt he comes back in anytime soon. Not worth a trade at this stage.
Balta - Was poor once again and if it wasn't for Richmonds injuries i'd say he would probably be dropped again. Will monitor but Petruccelle, Miers and even L.McCarthy are all viable options whilst they are still cheap enough.
Steele - Now while he hasn't been terrible i thought his tagging days would be over, clearly i was wrong. Although he can still score reasonably well as a tagger it's still concerning as i don't think he can generate the points i want for him to be a keeper. Possible trade to Libba? or even Macrae?
Last but not least is not having at least one of Lloyd or Whitfield. Think these guys need to come in asap before they get beyond reach. It's already going to be a nightmare bringing them in but how long can you wait before it's too late?

Ringo

How many trades left. If 28 or more would consider Steele to Libba - Will net another 113k giving you 305k to use possibly to get Lloyd or Whitfield in defence. Libba has a B/r -55 so will rise a further 60/70k if he scores well again.  Coul;d be more of a keeper for you rather than Steele.

HappyDEZ

Done well at the trade table with the Heeney hold & Greene to Rozee. If only all our decisions had such an instant positive impact. Side looks solid. Scoring is solid & rank is tracking in the right direction. As usual, Good Luck!!!

29 trades remaining Ringo. So yeah i think Libba will be my best option and pocket the cash

Cheers DEZ! Will probably be the only trade i get right all season haha

ROUND 4 TEAM..

Image from Gyazo" width="716

Round 4 Score: 2220 Rank: 10,619 Bank: $110.8k Trades remaining: 27

Yet another reasonable score and moving up in the rankings another 5k spots so that's all i can ask for at this stage.
2 trades were made last week. Steele - Libba and B.Smith - Whitfield. Only made up 34 points but i feel in the long run these trades will be worth it both in points and dollar$.
Only real concerns atm is with rookies. Will be looking at downgrading Butters, Setterfield, Drew and Parker all very soon. Depending on teams will determine who goes as i need to start getting some cash flow back into the team.
Stack, Lockhart, Rotham, Wilkie are all in consideration this week but atm am leaning more towards Ross next week over Stack
