Yeah, SR does it this way in other comps too fwiw. They're more of a direction/note to whoever is doing scores.

Colorado Avalanche 15.8.98 lost to New Brooklyn Hawks 18.9.117
(Real: 1472 vs 1762)

Brooklyn showed round one was no fluke with a pretty solid score on the road without a sub (Ben Brown could only manage 38) while Higgins and Jacobs also struggled. The damage was mostly done in the midfield, who all managed to ton up aside from poor Matt Crouch, who could only scrape together 96. As opposed to last week, Colorado's veterans were among the best while their youngsters were poor, with Bailey Scott falling from a ton to a 24...

Best
Colorado: Harbrow, Ebert
Brooklyn: Liberatore, Brayshaw, Cripps, Gunston, Milera, B. Crouch, Steele

Anaheim Mighty Ducks 20.6.126 defeated Chicago Sharks 17.10.112
(Real: 1886 vs 1679)

The good news for Chicago? Oliver is back to his best, and they have no troubles picking captains as they had their two tons as C and VC. The bad news? They lost...heavily...because nobody else stood up! Anaheim just far too good on the back of also having a big scorer as captain (Dangerfield) and they have plenty of room to improve with veterans Hodge, Hibberd, Mundy and Burgoyne scoring poorly (and Cotchin and Jones a little bit).

Best
Anaheim: Dangerfield, Kennedy, Boak, Bellchambers, Hawkins, Merrett, Hurley, Gray
Chicago: Oliver, Parker, Polec

Ottawa Otters 18.8.116 lost to Boston Terriers 20.10.130
(Real: 1736 vs 1954)

Ottawa were actually pretty decent, with a chunk of sub-50 scores (14, 32, 48, 49, 50) outshined by Cunnington's huge score with ample help from Treloar, McGovern, and LDU. But Boston were just a step better on the back of Neale's 140 as captain and a very consistent team effort.

Best
Ottawa: Cunnington, Treloar, McGovern, Davies-Uniacke, Marshall, McEvoy
Boston: Neale, Pendlebury, Sinclair, Selwood, Dahlhaus, Sheed

Houston Bombers 14.17.101 lost to San Francisco Grizzlies 15.15.105
(Real: 1510 vs 1568)

Yikes...look away from this one if you don't want to throw up. Both teams wanted to lose but I guess Houston just wanted that L a little bit more. Riewoldt's injury hurt the Bombers a lot, but other players like Heeney, Walters, and Zaharakis were well below their best and then there's guys like Lambert and Langford...while Coniglio was the main reason for San Francisco's poor score - scoring over 100 points less than he did last week. But Scully, Thompson, and Pittard were bad too. Brad Hill got the Grizzlies home at the death, while Viney redeemed himself as sub.

Best
Houston: Crisp, Sloane, Beams
San Francisco: Hill, Stewart, Viney, Martin

Quito Quetzals 20.6.126 defeated Carolina Panthers 18.9.117
(Real: 1896 vs 1750)

I sure am glad I had to play Quito last week and not this week! Lycett ran rampant with the highest score of the week, handily helped by Queensland foursome Swallow, Rich, Bowes and McCluggage. Carolina were pretty decent - spare for Dusty's 66 and Amon's injury-affected 7 - but just weren't good enough and will be doing some soul searching after starting 0-2. At least Grundy was back to his best!

Best
Quito: Lycett, Swallow, Rich, Bowes, Phillips, Suckling, McCluggage
Carolina: Grundy, Henderson, Shiel, Kelly, Mihocek

Las Vegas Sinners 19.12.126 defeated Wisconsin Cockerels 19.9.123
(Real: 1892 vs 1849)

Ripper game, two legitimate top clubs going at it with the home team getting the victory. Westhoff may have scored, like Coniglio, 100+ less than last week but a pretty consistent performance from the rest of the Sinners got them the win, with both usual stars like Fyfe, Lloyd and Rockliff and lesser players like Gresham, SPP and Stephenson doing their jobs well. Curnow's injury-affected 7 was a cruel blow for the Cockerels, but they will be happy with most of their scorers other than the heavily overrated GAJ. Sinners sure do have a high high ceiling...but we've also seen them fall to the depths of a dungeon so who knows what we will get out of them next week!

Best
Las Vegas: Fyfe, Lloyd, Gresham, Rockliff, Powell-Pepper, Stephenson
Wisconsin: Macrae, Whitfield, Daniel, Gawn, Shuey, Saad, O'Meara, Duncan
