With Ridley out I'd swing Moore back and try and turn him into Rozee or Lincoln McCarthy. McCarthy is pricey but you should see a couple of nice price rises.

Also worth having a look at your forward rookies. If you don't have all of Setters, Drew and Parker I'd grab one of those instead.

So I threw the E on Clark last night and he has scored 65. I'm not locked into taking it and I have a couple issues with my team right now.

Problem 1 is Heath Shaw. Is he worth holding or time to burn a trade and dump him?

I obviously have Marty Hore as well who looks a long term spud. If I trade Shaw I can also dump Hore otherwise I'm stuck with him for at least this week as I already have Duursma, Scrimshaw and Clark.

I don't have a lot of cash, so if I trade Shaw it can be to any defender Whitfield and under. Whitfield feels like the obvious option but it leaves me with 16k and I'm stuck with Hore.

If I go a mid price defender (spewing I didn't grab Tom Stewart), the three obvious options appear to be Newman, Williams and Darcy Moore. My gut says no to  Williams, Newman looks to have a very SC friendly role but doesn't feel like a must or a genuine lock for top 10. Moore lets me bank a ton of cash so I can go crazy for upgrades and is cheap enough that if I have to trade him out down the track I don't feel as crappy about burning the trade.

If I do grab one of Newman/Williams I can also turn Hore into Moore but that gives me Hurn, Williams/Newman, Smith and Moore as my D1-D4 which feels gross. I could very well have to sideways three of them out down the track and it's just going to be burn city.

I guess to simplify this, do I grab Whitfield, keep Hore and have no cash? Is Darcy Moore a must and should I grab Moore and load up the bank? Or do I do the double trade to get rid of Hore and also grab Moore and Newman?

Oh, I can also do Shaw and Hore to Moore and Rozee for ultimate cash gen

He had a bunch of turnovers last night because he was receiving the ball off handballs which he should never have been given. Gibbs also took the kickouts all of the last quarter which was interesting. Probably more pressing issues right now but I'll use him as a stepping stone at some point to a guy that has a couple of poor weeks in a row.

Really unsure on what to do with my backline, I have Ridley at D3, Wilkie & Hore on the bench, Wilkie named on an extended bench, can't afford a donut so do I ....
1/  bring in Rozee for either of Ridley or Hore ?
2/  switch Mooore to defence but would still need to get rid of either Ridley or Hore & then bring in a fwd rookie.
3/ trade out Ridley for Nic newman, (uses all my spare cash)

Firstly, Ridley R3 was an incredibly ballsy move so I'm not too surprised that it hasn't worked... but that's the life of SC. Gotta risk it sometimes.

Wait until teams are named. If Wilkie is dropped (I don't think he will be though), get in Rozee or whoever else you're missing. What rookies have you got? Cash gen is very important right now and I'm not sure Newman will be a keeper so I'd rather a rookie. Or Worpel up forward if you don't have him.
I have Worp up fwd already & have most of the rooks already except Rozee, Miers (too late now) Petrucelle

Holz

ok so i have 300k in the bank and i need to dump hore.

I can move him to parker and pocket the 300k

or i can trade him to Worpel/Newman

if i kept the cash then id likely hold 2 weeks and then turn a rookie who has gone up for 2 price rises to a fallen premo

Get rid of Shaw and Hore.
Williams and Moore or Rozee and Moore would be my choice. Moore won't score much less than Heater for a fraction of the price. Rozee has great JS, will make cash unlike Hore.
And
Hurn, Williams, Smith, Moore is similar structure to a huge bulk of teams. I've got the same except Lloyd instead of Hurn.

Considering Greene and Hore to Moore and Rozee...haven't used any trades yet this season. Not too keen on Wilkie or Burgess, already have Collins Scrim Clark Duursma down back and Drew Parker Setters Petruccelle Balta up front. No swings in the mids.
Thoughts?

Both positive trades. My usual rule is if they’re out for 1 I can hold, but out for 2 then that’s too much potential cash generation gone.

I traded Greene for Miers. Still deciding on Rozee or Scrim for Hore

Sounds like Greene will be back next week for sure, so I'd hold

Hore has to go though.

Any way you can get Moore/Rozee without trading Greene?

Can't believe you don't have Miers :P

Wanderer

Want to offload Hore. Already going Mundy to Worpel. Want to do go Mills to Whitfield, but I will be stuck with Hore.

Option 1: Hore to Scrimshaw
Under this scenario it will be touch and go if I will be able to afford Mills to Whitfield next round depending on how they go this round.
Scrimshaw will be fielded because had the E on Clark.

Option 2: Mills to Whitfield
I can hold onto Hore and possibly trade him to Balta next week using Moore, but will lose DPP with Burgess until I can move Moore back eventually.
Can get Clark 65 using Hore loophole

Ya shoulda gotten ya boy Miers ;D

Wouldnt get Rozee, too expensive for what he gives. Hold Greene, he'll be back next week. Probably hold Hore as well, as you've already got all the must-have backs. Think getting Burgess for him wouldn't be the worst idea though.

Samsturmfels

Can't decide on which trade to do what do you guys think?

1) Greene to boak
2) Greene to Worpel, Heeney to Kelly
3) Greene to Worpel, Hore to Scrimshaw
4) Greene to Moore, Walsh to Rockliff/Sheed
5) something else?
