Sydney: "(Isaac) Heeney was a bit injured.. he had a bit of a sore ankle from last week.. you'd expect he'd be a bit better next week (8 Day break)" John Longmire

May keep Heeney and see.

Heeney - Despite the predictions of more mid time this does not appear to eventuate.

he looks to lose $20K... who's to say he wont be another Billings??
you'll hold and hold because of the "never trade a premo" rule and then by round 8 you'd lose $150K and wished you'd dropped him earlier, Look im sure he can turn it around, but are you willing to take that chance

Quote from: Ringo on March 30, 2019, 09:11:54 AMLloyd appears to be a must based on the 2 games.

If I can get Heeney for $380k in rd8, I’m probably all in!

I have Heeney, Dusty and Greene....and $165k.

Think next week Dusty becomes Lloyd through DPP.
Expecting Greene back so he can wait.
Heeney maybe to T Kelly or Worpel next week too.

For all the talk of Billings too - was $333k when dropped last year. Came back and averaged 90+ after that...

There's going to be some nice fallen premos early this season and Heeney makes the list now. Oliver Simmo Dusty Heeney, the list is growing nicely indeed.

I'm in a bit of strife currently:
- Used a trade on Balta > Parker already.
- Have Hore, Heeney, Martin, Greene and potentially Oliver to worry about.

If Oliver and Rockliff perform, and Greene is back next week, I think my plan is to trade Martin > Rockliff and Hore > Moore, as although it brings a lot of injury risk I've gotta risk it for the biscuit after a shocking start.

Thoughts?

The thing with Heeney is he looks electric when he is near the ball. It is legitimately an issue where he has been playing deeper than Buddy with the Swans midfield getting smashed in both games. He was the most dominant player in the first quarter against the Dogs last week.

Will be watching Oliver like a hawk this week, very tempted to just bring in Lloyd & seal my defence. He'd be my one glaring mistake thus far.
yeh Bully, when is the right time. I was on the verge dropping Dusty for Sloane pre-game but pulled back and ...sure enough he made me pay.An extra 40grand  bonus on top of my 125grand already in bank but i chickened out, would it have been the: Right move wrong move??? Dont trade prems???? dont trade first round??? GGrrrrr sometimes ya gotta make the call. For what its worth i have Oliver but i think he will come good. Dusty is always a unknown prospect each week, and i knew that butt....i put him in as a cheaper price to McCrae, Conigs and Treloar to keep a decent bank balance. I had Sloane in and out pre-season but with both Crouches and the fear of hard tags on Rory i bypassed but he may well have an exceptional year along with all the Adelaide Prems.as u know with all the comments on  here Dusty has numerous reasons about whether he will be top 5 mid and lets face it the main goal is try and collect the top 5  to 8 players in every position. Right or wrong, Thats how i see it.the horse has bolted and now will wait for R2 to complete to see where all this leaves me.

Excuse the story book i know but  i had to get the dirty water off my chest..lol Cheers

Just some little chestnuts I've gathered over the years, the first being the Docherty experience from a few years back. He tracked in a very similar manner to Lloyd, one very good season followed by a couple of outstanding games at the start of the year. The time to get him in was round 3, after that it became a logistical nightmare because he didn't dip in price at any other stage in the season, those who didn't have him where then forced to use an additional trade to get the funds. That's already a huge handicap. Think when you are chasing one player you are hoping for a dip in price rather than capitalising on opportunities that are sitting in front of you. Before too long you are well behind the eightball. The other point here is the mid rookies are scoring much better than the defensive rookies, the points being lost also need to be factored in.

As far as Oliver goes, he will need to pump out 130 for me to hold on, at the moment his BE is huge and will leak money, if this happens every man & his dog will jump on so you automatically lose any advantage. I'm also open to bringing him back at a discount, to me he is just another mid who can feasibly average 110.

Colley Dogs

Probably a mistake...

Have Libba at M6, with all the right Rookies including Walsh.

Considering downgrading Libba to Sparrow/Gibson, and upgrading Mills (D2) to Lloyd.

Wait to see how Libba and the rookies go this round first

Should have held Ridley. Essendon are a basket case. Guelfi and Langford just ran off the ground after giving away a free so Lonie was just able to run away. That was bad enough to get dropped

And while I'm typing this Francis just kicked it into his teammate from an intercept mark deep in defense

HoleMeal

Sunday Night-
Dusty to Rocky
Libba to Lloyd via Duursma

Keeper27

Lloyd can wait, his increase wont be as much as Boak'

Heeney to Boak, rather jump on a guy who'll gain $15-20K than a guy who'll lose $15-20K, plus it looks like he's playing a SC friendly role right now.

bringing in Parker too, spewing i'll miss out on Rocky though who looks to gain $30-35K

All those Oliver "corrections" lol
