Balta to Parker locked. Parker has solid JS and should make some cash, Balta dropped and seems stupid to hold him hoping he gets another game, and even if he does he'd have to hold his spot for a while and improve his scoring to make any cash.

The more I think about it though is that he's got 'general soreness' after 1 FLOWERING WEEK, it really doesn't bode well for a 23 round season. I picked him as a keeper not a stepping stone. Weird thing is the club wanted 20 games out of him, and he's missing week 2 already.

They said 'he's done the work' and he genuinely looked good v Essendon. So annoyed.

Other bad thing is that he plays for Giants so doubt we hear SFA about it if it is indeed an injury. And before we know it he misses the next 5 weeks.

I'm torn too. If Greene played and scored 80, and Petruccelle/Parker score 50, then we only lose 30 points and save the trade

I could go every which way with this. Double trade and upgrade him, 1 trade Balta to Parker and loop Parker/Petrucelle or just hold and don't trade at all, just field Petrucellle and keep Balta (Might return next week as Collingwood isn't a good match up for him which is why I think he has been dropped)

I think I'm gonna trade. Bundle him and BSmith up together as it gifts me better alternatives.

Thinking something along the lines of Parker + Simmo/Sicily/Whitfield

Or alternatively could get any forward premo I wanted

Other option is Greene + Ridley to get Parker plus any forward/defensive premo under 476,500

I started Greene at F3 because I didn't like any of the forwards other than Danger/Heeney, and that hasn't changed just because of 1 round of footy

I'm going to punt Balta for Parker, because he's the only rookie I missed and it now allows me to loop Parker/Petruccelle this week, and next week I shouldn't need to make any rookie correctional trades because I've got all the must haves, which means I can allow myself the luxury of 1 or 2 premo correctional/structural changes

It was Greene's first full hitout in a while, and they're travelling to Perth so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt (I expected him to miss when I picked him, so I shouldn't panic now that he is)

Dusty gets 1 more chance tomorrow, and I get another week to see how everyone else goes too, so I think this is the sensible approach, and I should be entering Round 3 with all the players I want, and 27-28 trades

But in saying that Balta to Parker is a trade I'll make regardless next week so may as well make the trade and have the Greene plus another mid pricer trade in the books for next week after having another week to look at everyone in my side.

Long trip to Perth this early season is exactly why. You don't want a guy that is having even minor issues this early in the season stuck on a 7-8 hour round trip to Perth. I'd be surprised if they play Josh Kelly as well. Leon Cameron has talked all off-season about managing player loads early because they want them right for the pointy end of the season

Didn't really want to have to trade this week but Balta omitted already kind of forces my hand as I may need 2 trades elsewhere next week. In comes Parker.

Happy to sit on Collins at this stage. As a Saints fan I can see Wilkies score coming back to earth soon, if not being dropped for Brown who had a big pre season on the track. Joyce is the one I'd pick, but I'll wait for next week. No reason to go early on that one with optimal cover this week.

Haha no I meant more along the lines of those were the two I was least satisfied with.

Watching brouch and smith play, can't say they were overly impressive  (Altho yes I agree they did get smashed and first game in a while).

Will be keeping a keen eye on them to see how they play,, especially brouch as the temptation to get rocky or sheed is real even though they come with their own risks

I don't see any risk in sheed personally. Think he's a sure thing.

I'm really stuck this week..

Already have Parker, and having to cop Balta, Greene and possibly Collins out..

My best option would be Balta out, Drew forward, then bring in a mid rookie, but already have Atkins, Gibbons and Scott (Constable on field with Drew).

Could also swing some DPP and get Joyce/Wilkie, but concerned on their JS? Maybe if one makes way for Nathan Brown it'll be a more obvious selection..
