Brayshaw to Rookie i assume nets you 500k (which rookie are you going to)

Then Collins to laird Whitfield or LLoyd (if you can afford him and dont have him)

That's two trades though... I was only going to do one!

Why would you trade Brayshaw? He outscored Oliver, yeah it wasn't a great score but it is only round 1....

Why would you trade Brayshaw? He outscored Oliver, yeah it wasn't a great score but it is only round 1....

I'm not likely to but, if I really did screw the pooch and go too mid heavy, he'd be the least likely keeper so most logical to move to restructure. More likely to sit on my hands though.

Just make a new team. You'll easily get the 2000 points back in scoring difference between those guys and whoever is in your team.

That's fair, but if Brayshaw is the least likely keeper then I think you have a bloody strong midfield already and just got pretty unlucky in round 1. If you trade him he will likely go 130+ this week, just the SC God's doing their thing.

I fondly remember many times trading out players RD 1 and watching them bring it round 4 and beyond.

I also remember chasing points in round 2 only to see a false sense of scoring for thje rest of the year

Its round 2 yer spuds... It takes erryone PLAYING the game to settle...if you played the game at any decent level you would agree

Kneejerk reactions in round 1 - 3 are a gamble, theres players mindset and coach influence to consider

Im freeing up $ for a Gawn & / or Grundy inclusion say round 4 / 5...has always been my plan
Drop a misfiring mid pricer into a performing rook to make an easy step into Grundy / Gawn / Mcrea

Loaded up on DPP and Mid pricers for this to keep options open

Players start getting their groove round 4 or 5

Not going to make any trades yet despite my disastrous 1891 score.

First score I've seen worse than my 1903...





I need some help! I probably need to do Collins to Joyce/Wilkie and Balta to Parker. Usually, I'd wait until next week, but what if Grundy/Gawn fail again? And what if Brayshaw or Libba flop again? Surely Oliver won't but if he pumps out another 70odd? I don't want to need to make 4+ correctional trades next week and regret not making 2 of them this week. This is the worst I've ever started and I'm so deflated about it that I might just quit :( :( :(

We have the benefit of seeing Grundy play Thursday night against a ruckman that leaks points to the oppo ruck. If he struggles again, you can pull the trigger on Collins to Wilkie/Joyce so you have room for a Grundy trade next week. If Grundy performs though, hold the trade :)

I guess I can't really quit but it's certainly frustrating to put so much time into my team and have all my decisions backfire...

Good point on Grundy playing Thursday. If he and Balta both struggle, I need to do the Collins trade right away but are there any other trades I should be looking at? I started Brayshaw as a keeper so surely I hold him? But is it worth missing Sheed/Rocky if they're as good as they look?

Sheed has scored some beauties recently, and that's my point. Only toned up once last season until Gaff was suspended, so wondering how or if Gaffs return will effect his high scoring or whether he is really breaking out. Reckon I'd be prepared to risk a few price rises to find out. Salem is the one I've had my eye on for a while and I think this may really be his year. Max Gawn's early SC breakout tip as well. No trades this week unless selections or injuries make it unavoidable
