I can go Greene and Heeney to Worpel and Boak or Dahlhaus but feel like I'm just wasting trades.

What would you do with Greene and Heeney in your team at F2 and F3 but no cash ($8300 in bank)? Haven't missed any rookies except LDU but can't get him because no DPP. Rozee would be the best forward rookie I'm missing.

I'm in the exact same situation with those 2 and F2/F3 and am probably just going to hold

Parker comes on for Greene - will loop where possible too

Alright, so based on what I just posted in the Injury Thread, I am holding Greene now

That means Dusty is the only one to potentially trade

1. Hold
2. Trade to Rocky and bank the 160k
3. Trade to Kelly/Boak

Option 3. Especially if you have gone heavy in the mids and can DPP Kelly/Boak into the forward line

Those trading in Worpel, are you seeing him as a keeper?

Feels a bit like 2018 Taranto to me. Second year player in the midfield, started strong, but dropped off a bit as the year went on..

Dahl is the guy I'd be taking a shot on in that price range - has proven he can do it

Worpel looks good, but there's always the risk with 2nd year players. Sometimes they pull an Oliver and go nuts, but most of the time they don't
Worpel seems to be in the Oliver category imo.
As for Dahlhaus, his good SC years came from big midfield minutes. He's now playing the same role as at the Dogs where his average dropped considerably.
Not sure if he keeps it up.

Totally conflicted over heeney
If I decide he goes then I bring in Lloyd and Clark > Heeney, Bailey Smith via Duursma to mids.   or
Duursma stays in Def I bring in Atkins/Grier in mids.

If heeney stays it is rookie correction
Hore/Smith > LDU and Clark.

or no trades.

At the moment I am not convinced the swans have a plan for getting Heeney fully fit.  Appears they want to play him and manage him - not going work for SC coaches. (may work for Swans team?)  Issue is if he gets fit will be top 6 fwd.

Probably reverse my trades and sit on trades until all teams are announced.  Hopefully someone has an inside scoop on swans and heeney.

1. Hold only if you think he will be a top 10 mid, and it really doesn't look like it at this stage. Given he is not looking like a top 10 mid, then you should make a correctional trade to a keeper or a rookie you missed that will make heaps of cash. Personally, I would go after a keeper if you can afford one.

2. What are the chances Rocky makes it through the whole year and becomes a top 10 mid keeper? Very slim. You would want Rocky to make you $150k if you were to cash him in, and to do that, he will be in keeper territory, which is highly unlikely.

3. Kelly looks almost certain to be a keeper, so why not just get him in and set and forget. I'm not convinced with Boak being a keeper.

Rocky is a risk/reward play and Kelly looks like a more solid option, so I would go Kelly, but it all comes down to your appetite for risk.

Get T. Kelly and don't look back.

I have Mundy, Mills (possibly Hore) to deal with. I also have Heeney, but I think he will end up being top 6 Fwd eventually so don't want to go waste trades on him at this stage.

Option 1:
Mundy - Kelly (already have Danger, Heeney, so worried about R13 bye, but Kelly is the best of the available fwds IMO)
Mills to Worpel (via Moore, but I lose the Burgess link for now)
$102k left

Option 2:
Mundy - Kelly
Hore - Scrimshaw
$36k left
(Hold onto Mills for now because he won't be leaking heaps of cash)

No problem with my other rookies at this stage so no need to make any other corrective trades.

If you're worried about the bye, go Mundy to Worpel and Mills up to the best premium you can get (Lloyd, Whitfield)

JBs-Hawks

Greene to Kelly

Or

Heeney to Lloyd

Heeney to Lloyd

First one with Heeney more likely to still be a keeper.

Thanks guys

Although I don't think Kelly is a must get right now, I do believe he should be a Top 6ish forward, so I guess it makes sense to grab him, as opposed to someone like M.Crouch who might not be Top 10, and Rocky who will probably do something frustrating eventually and miss games

I've actually got Luke Ryan at D2, and although he hasn't been horrible (91 & 78) he did injure his calf last week and was spotted at training today with it strapped

I can actually squeeze in Dusty to Kelly and Ryan to Whitfield

Have to admit, team looks pretty solid with those 2 trades. Allows me to hold Greene who moves to F4 and Moore F5

I'm slowly coming around on Dusty to Kelly, but is Ryan to Whitfield worth doing now too? I really like Ryan as a POD, but Whitfield should outdo him, and the calf is concerning now too

I liked this comment under the JR podcast re: Heeney. "I had a look at Heeneys score for the 2018 season, and he just fell in a hole after the bye, in fact he finished the season valued at $440k! So far, this season appears to be more of the same, so I am moving on the bludger NOW"

For anyone curious, he averaged 107 up until the bye, then got concussed in round 15. He then averaged 91 for the remainder of the season (not counting the 17 he scored in R15).

What you're saying is burnman Jack Billings finished last year in better form...?
