Tossing up whether to get LDU for one of Scott/Sparrow/Atkins/Gibbons, which means I don't have the lottery of picking which of the 4 to field any given week and parking LDU at M8 (with Walsh and Constable the other two on field rookies).

The other option is Balta (who will return this week) -> Parker. Currently have Setterfield and Drew on field with Petruccelle and Balta on the bench. That means Parker probably doesn't get a gig, unless I field him over Setters which seems like an option when Parker is currently scoring better. It also means I'll get the cash gen from Parker as opposed to waiting on Balta who scored shower first week and missed last week.

Gone ahead with Shaw & Heeney out for Lloyd & Parker... leaves me with $305K in the kitty
Parker has a monster BE and looks to jump $88K... while Shaw and Heeney look to lose $35K together

Samm79

Concerns are Darling, Heeney, Dusty, Balta and Hore. Trading Dusty and Balta to Rocky and Parker looks good, plus leaves $180K in the tin. Alternative is Boak and swing Setterfield into the middle, but the cashgrab with Rocky is too good to pass up I feel.

Really don't understand the Heeney trades.

Sounds like he's going to be managed through his injury playing forward and will leak points and cash.

That's the concern, ankle hasn't allowed him time in the midfield, can't see him producing 95+ whilst playing forward.

Yep! Makes it an easy choice to bring in an underpriced forward like Kelly or Boak and if Heeney turns it around he can be an upgrade target after the bye

35k isn't a great loss

Reckon I'll keep Greene

Frustrating as hell, but I  know how precious trades are and I can't burn them every time something goes wrong.

I knew he would miss games, but to trade him after just getting 1 game seems like an absolute waste. I'll just field Parker and cop the possible point loss, and hope Greene is back next week

Maybe I'm stubborn, but I want more than 1 bloody game from him lol

He could come back next week and score well, but you think being two rounds in and already missing games off a limited pre-season with yet another injury would be the red flag to dump him.

If I needed to downgrade him I'd grab either Lincoln McCarthy or Rozee. If I had the cash to upgrade him and needed someone under 500k I'd look at a Boak, Newman or Worpel. If I was really looking for a POD to set my season up I'd also consider the following

Newnes - Disposal hurting but he is looking like a surprise forward that could go 90+ playing predominantly on the wing. Would help if he wasn't a complete butcher though because he probably tons up in both games.

Petrevski-Seton - One I mentioned early in the pre-season with the increased midfield time I wouldn't be shocked if he goes 90 odd

Sexton - A huge risk but at his price he could turn into an ideal stepping stone similar to a Brodie Smith but the forward line version

Tom Stewart - Early season form has been dominant and it's looking great for fantasy. Bye is the only issue.

if it was 1 or 2 weeks it would be fine.   i struggle to see how heeney will return to a level that allows both the mid time and overall capability to score other than 70-85 pts a game.   it can also go on for months not weeks.   cannot understand the swans thinking here.

For me the biggest dilemma is not who to trade & for who but which is the smart play? To trade or stick fat? Like the rest of us I have no shortage of players I would like to move on before the price changes & in retrospect gotta wonder why I made some of those decisions with my initial 30 in the first place. Like why did I pick Billings over a cheaper Worpel when we all knew Worpel was moving into the mids. Actually I think the reason was Billings is out of contract & I was hoping he would be one of those players that has a career best year while his manager is fielding offers AKA Dusty, Jenkins etc. There are other decisions. Started Sicily & Hurn as D1 & D2, not that worried in SC but seems a ludicrous decision in RDT. Hopefully they can still be top 6/8 in the DT format. Conigs carrying a 52 in his rolling avg. for another 2 games...hmmm. I think I will stick fat & not trade, which is normally the wise move but it could just as easily be a costly decision. Anyway, hope all your new recruits fire & your discards spud it up.

Got a few options and I am quite undecided on which way to to

Dusty and Greene are the only two I am looking at moving - happy with the rest of my side

Option 1
Dusty to M.Crouch

Option 2
Dusty to Rocky
Greene to Kelly/Boak

Option 3
Dusty & Greene to 2 prem forwards - 1 of Kelly/Boak then 1 of Dahl/Worpel etc (Swing Setters to mids)

Option 4
Dusty to Whitfield/Crisp (swing Duursma to mids)
*If I get Crisp, I can do Greene to Worpel too

Option 5
Hold, no trades

I think

Kelly is a must have

So Greene to Kelly...

Do you have Duursma? if so maybe Martin to a back via Duursma?

tommy10

Do u have the cash to do Dusty to MCrouch and Greene to Worpel?

I like 5. Dusty is a worry but deserves another chance & is cheapish for what he can do. He got 109 for doing not much in Round 1. He is also the sort of bloke that could come out & give everyone the big fu after all the criticism this week. Having said that Richmond have had a horror start. Probs Rance JRoo & Dusty their 3 most important players & 2 of them are out, one for the season, gotta be a major let down for the playing group.
