Now have Ridley and Hore out in my back 6. Bad start with the rookies but lucky to have correctional trades.

Ridley to Wilkie to pocket cash, allows me to be flexible with Greene next week if I want to.

So on actual correction trades, team announcements were not very kind to me today. Of my players I have the following currently out

Ridley
Hore
Balta
Pierce
Alabaskis (loophole option)
Balta

I also have James Cousins named on an extended bench and my gut says he gets dropped even though he played well last week.

I held Balta since I have Parker/Drew/Setters already and he was my only non-playing forward. He should get another crack next week so it will be interesting to see how he goes.

I have to trade Pierce out. Don't really have a choice there. I think I also need to dump one of Ridley/Hore this week with Collins in concussion protocol and I don't want any surprises.

I think I have come up with 4 options below. Not really sure which way to go.

Option 1

Ridley>Duursma
Pierce>Phillips

Leaves me 337k in the bank. It means I can use the cash to upgrade Collins>Moore next week and Hore>Newman

Option 2

Ridley>Duursma
Pierce>Any ruck I don't own

I'm still not sold on the big bucks rucks. I wish Pierce made it an extra week and I could have gone him to Mummy. Goldy/Hoff/Stef/Rhys Stanley are the 3 I would consider

Option 3

Hore>Duursma
Pierce>Phillips

Leaves me enough cash to go Ridley>Moore and Cousins>Sheed next week

Option 4

Hore>Duursma
Pierce>Any ruck Rhys Stanley or cheaper

I'm honestly leaning towards keeping Ridley since I think he has the greatest scoring potential of the guys I'm trading out. Essendon match selection must be getting the gear from Bomber because it felt questionable on how bad they were last week.

You tried the cheap R2 option and it didn't work out, no biggy, but you can't flower around with it again now on guys like Phillips because that's just going to result in having to use another trade again later on upgrading him

Just pay up for Gawn or Goldy, and focus on the rest of your side

Mat0369

I have Gawn as R1. I could grab Goldy as R2 but I have 0 faith in him.

If I go the expensive route I'm tempted to grab Hoff and then shift him to the forward line later on when I can figure out who the top guy looks to be. Out of the raw numbers last week Stef was the most impressive considering his TOG. He also went up against complete crap in Hickey and Vardy.

The advantage with Phillips is I don't see Kreuz back for a while. I think I am content throwing in the sideways option to Mummy come R5. It should see a couple of price rises from Phillips and it gives me a couple weeks to evaluate Mummy. It is a bit of a burn through the trades but I think I feel comfortable enough with the scoring ability of most of the guys I have picked.

After tonight, you'd be a brave man to think Grundy won't be the best ruck you don't have

Hoff might be overpriced, but the DPP and season long cover is worth the extra cost, so I'd grab Hoff, then move him forward next and grab Grundy in a couple of weeks for 50k or so cheaper

I already explained my thoughts on Grundy, I think he might be in the best handful, but I think all the rucks will take a hit on their average. It should see him bleed a bit of cash and hopefully be more affordable come the bye weeks.  I also  think he will improve as the year goes on so he will be the guy I want as my R2 at some point. By grabbing Goldy it means I am locked in to him and I'd have to likely sideways to Grundy anyway.

The ruck that is probably best built for less stoppages around the ground is Stef. He has the best tank of any ruck in the league and is perfect in link up play around the ground. So I think it's either Hoff/Phillips now and then grab Stef/Grundy later.

I also need to burn a trade on my R3 if I move Hoff forward since I am dick and didn't grab a cheap R3 until the Sunday.

I vote the Hoff option, as this is the way I've gone. Ruck coverage could come in handy when those without are burning trades.

I can still afford to go Collins to Moore next week as well. The only thing I don't like is that I have to trade out Ridley. Even in a game the match committee deemed worthy enough to drop him he scored 71 points. I was hoping I could hold him a week to see if he would get named. I'll probably sleep on it but I'm likely leaning towards the Hoff/Duursma for Ridley/Pierce combo or Phillips/Duursma for Pierce/Hore combo

I reckon all the people who traded grundy wish they could reverse that

It's like 1.7%... so like 1000 people. No one who actually knows SuperCoach would have done it

Edit: 1.3%, 1576 total...

Very happy I didn't trade Balta. Should get a good run with JRoo going down

I have Hore at D8, but now that he is out, who should I get (or should I just hold)?
Already have Clark, Duursma, Burgess..... I'm thinking Scrimshaw, but only leaves me with $20K

I’d hold him for a week then grab the best one on the bubble next week (Wilkie, Scrimshaw)
