My team so far, haven't really gone over the rookies properly again. Main concern is with the forward line and whether I should take a hit somewhere else and use some cash to strengthen that department up. Also whether to use some cash to just get in Gawn and have the Grundy/Gawn combo which is less risky. Otherwise, pretty happy with the team right now, even tho I even properly looked into how the premiums are going to cope through the byes yet. Open to suggestions!

Money Shot

Think your forward line is fine mate! Setterfield and Drew look really solid and Balta, Burgess and Petrucelle all look decent as well. You also have Parker for back up if one falls through.

Pretty good side all round.

Pretty unhappy with the score i got, but considering my captain getting 180 odd, it gives me a bit of confidence in the rest of my team.

Defence
Pretty happy overall with the defence excluding Collins' 27, wasn't expecting anything crazy from my fielded rookies. Happy with the premiums across the board. Considering Fremantle smashed North Melbourne, Ryan's 91 turned out to be very good, and i can't be too skeptical about Williams yet.

Midfield
Probably the best department, with a few of the premium midfielders going big to carry me over the 2k line. Ironically i was going to have Coniglio or Bontempelli instead of Neale but it worked out fine.

Ruck
This is a worrying department right now because of how much i've spent here, and makes me think if i should've gotten Goldstein in to give me another 100k to spend somewhere else, but can't really rush into thinking of doing that.

Forward
Had two of the popular premiums in Heeney and Dangerfield who did okay, otherwise my main mid pricer that i have, Moore dished up a decent score and Drew gave me a good ton.

I think the only trade i'm very close to completing is Swinging Moore back into Defence and then downgrading Collins to Parker to free up some cash because i only have the 4k, and i think the JS isn't that much of a difference between the two rookies. Otherwise i think i'll hold.

Ringo

Watch on Collins though as he in the concussion monitoring so if ruled out probably the ideal time to downgrade him to Joyce/Wilkie depending on those being named and gives you some dollars. Although dissatisfied with Burgess monitoring this week as the DPP is invaluable at the moment with Moore.

Yeh I know. He’s literally the only one I’m thinking of possibly trading right now because of the possibility that he might be out and his high price. If he does play I think I might keep him considering he does have the potential to put up a decent score, and I really want to try and save as many trades as possible. Balta will stay in my team as I feel he’s only out of the team because of the match ups against Collingwood.

Defence
Worst department this week with no one cracking the ton.. However I'm very happy that Williams put up a decent score and both Collins and Scrimshaw produced very good scores. Apparently Ryan went down with an injury, but it was in the 3rd and up until then he was scoring very average anyway so that is making me a bit worried considered i paid a decent amount for him.

Midfield
Very happy with everyone's scores here, especially with Oliver bouncing back. The main worry is tho that Martin gave me a shocking score. Considering Richmond didn't get much of the ball at all, his effort on the field is a big concern. Unfortunately i did switch Butters with Scott, which cost me around 60 points, which could've got me over 2200..

Ruck
Nothing to see here.

Forwards
In terms of premium scoring, this was the worst.. Heeney (67) and Dunkley (76) is just annoying.. Luckily Dangerfield, Drew and Moore came through with very good scores to kind of carry those two. I'm assuming Balta comes straight back in considering they absolutely butchered the decision to get rid of him against Collingwood. So fingers crossed by next week i have all my rookies except maybe Hore and Bines playing.

Overall, im pretty happy with most of my team and kind of happy i didn't pull any triggers last week, especially on Collins. My main concern now is whether i just maybe get rid of Ryan for B. Smith and get about 150k into the bank, due to only having 4k currently. Or do i look into the midfield and just pull the pin on Martin and get another prem or downgrade to Libba for 260k.. which would be very good considering libba looks like he is going to produce better scores if Martin's form doesn't change. Or do i downgrade Dunkley to Worpel who is getting a lot of midfield time or Tim Kelly who i was originally going to choose. The question is whether i do zero, one or two of them, which has me torn because i hate trading prems this early. And then the other situation is maybe trying to get Parker into the team.. Really need some help this week on some decisions i have to make.

So this week i ended up getting an amazing score that i'm extremely happy with that literally got me up over 40k spots. I was actually joking around with friends before the Freo v Saints game that i needed 144 from Ryan to get 2400 and in his first quarter he got 36, which is exactly what he needed to average each quarter to achieve that score, and ended up going past that, which was awesome. I made one trade last week, which ended up working perfectly. Martin to Liberatore, which meant i avoided an average score from a premium and his 2 week suspension now, and instead got a mid pricer who got me 150 and netted me 260k in the bank for upgrades later on.

There is only two worries right now:

I don't have Lloyd or Whitfield right now, which has hurt me so far and Laird hasn't been up to par, because of Brodie Smith back and that. But i don't think it's worth wasting a trade because Laird will most likely be a top 6 defender by the end of the year, so i'm thinking the goal is to try and upgrade to one of them ASAP once one of my rookie defender's tops out.

Josh Dunkley has been not disappointing, but not as great as i thought he'd go so far., especially when someone like Boak who was cheaper has been smashing it and is now more expensive than Dunkley and it is because Bulldogs now have more depth in their midfield with the addition of Liberatore. I'm on the fence about it right now, because im happy that im in a position where i've only used the one trade so far and its worked out, but i also don't want to keep copping 80's from a premium forward when there are others that are averaging 100+ or close to it.

Thoughts?

Ringo

Know this is a bad bye but have you considered Dahlhaus as an alternative to Dunkley. Has tonned up in all three games so far and seems to have new lease of life at the Cattery. Has a low B/e this week as well so will cost more next week. Even if he drops hois scores think he will still average 95 which is good enough for F6.
Next week would seriously consider one of your mid benchies to Stack to make cash to get lloyd for you.

Pretty average week coming off of an amazing score last week.. Decided to hold Dunkley as I'm trying to be as conservative as possible with my trades this year, which has worked out pretty good because it made me hold onto Heeney & Ryan. However, i think Dunkley is just costing me way too many points considering Boak is there to get. I'm going to work into getting Stack into the team to net about 120k extra cash into the bank. Leading up to his last game, Williams was averaging over 90, so i think ill hold onto him. The main issue in the backline is that i don't have Lloyd or Whitfield, which is costing me big time. I'm in an awkward position because any of my 200-350k players are either playing very good or have a lot of money to make. Really need some help here, will definitely make a trade this week as something needs to change, and i need to use the cash i have in the bank to strengthen up the team.

Another ok week surprisingly going up a little bit in ranks. I ended up pulling off two trades

Setterfield > O'Brien (Via Bines)
Petrucculle > Daniel

Happy with my decision to get O'Brien in, but trading out Petrucculle kind of stuffed me over, but could've seen him kicking 5.2 i guess. Anyway, the plan is to hopefully use another two trades this week, and somehow get in Jack Ross for maybe Butters? I thought my plan would work out by going with Butters > Ross and then switching Moore into defence and then upgrading Collins to Kelly in the forward line but im roughly 13k short.. So im open to suggestions on what to do here.

Had an amazing week for the second time this year, which let me climb up a crazy 9k in ranks even tho i was ranked 17k. Across the board it was very consistent with only one player dropping below 70, which was one of my rookies. All of my rookies still have reasonable B/E's with Scrimshaw 58 and Clark 43 being the ones with some worry. I'm thinking maybe if anything going possibly

Scrimshaw/Clark > Young

Unfortunately in doing that, it won't let me make a proper upgrade without pulling the pin on someone early.

Ringo

Have you considered upgrading Moore if you went Scrimshaw to Young?  Moore with a B/E 46 as well so nearing ceiling as well.

Yeh I’ve thought about that, because it allows me to get anyone except Jake Lloyd.. but I’m still trying to contemplate whether Young is going to have good enough JS to make enough money.

Had another pretty strong week, which allowed me to climb another few thousand again. So Clark's B/E was 55 and he lost money last week so i decided to go with Clark > Answerth which generated some more cash. With the 346k I'm not sure what to do on making an upgrading. Thinking of going with Libba > Fyfe/Bont/Treloar or another prem mid that way i have enough money next week for an upgrade again. Or do i get rid of Gibbons who has a B/E of 50, which means he won't make that much more money. If i do that, i have enough money to upgrade him to whoever i want.

Ringo

You could do the double down and Gibbons to Corbett, Larkey or Moore via Drew or Worpel.

Givers you a nice war chest for double ups next week.  All three options on the Bubble.  may cost say 20 or so points this week but long term benefit.

Play drew/Worpel over one of Ross and Hayes and then select which one traded in or Balta to play.
