Club Sets
The following exchanges can be made when all players involved are from the same AFL club:

3 x Bronze Players for 1 x Random Silver Player
4 x Silver Players for 1 x Random Gold Player
5 x Gold Players for 1 x Random Platinum Player

Do the players have to be unique?

For example can i trade Jack Watts x2 + Sam Gray + Dan Houston for a Port Gold?

dont have to be unique you could trade 4 Jack Watts for a Port Gold if you wanted to

I'm 99% sure they don't have to be unique, you could even trade 4 of the same (4x Watts) for a gold if you wish, although in that instance 3x any player gets you a SE version of the card.

Is there an option to trade between players at any stage?  I think I remember we traded a few seasons ago.

Another thought for future seasons like the upgrading of club sets are position sets?  Could trade 3 bronze defenders for 1 silver defender?

The opportunity for mid-season trading is over the 3 primary bye rounds.
As for positional upgrades, I don't mind the idea but will have to weigh up what the conversion rates should be. It won't be introduced this season, so you need not worry about stashing certain positions, but will definitely be re-visited at EOS.

it certainly shouldnt be the same as clubs and you could even argue it should be the same as normal. The added benefit is you know your getting a player on that line.
