My first serious attempt at a team for the year and would love some feedback:

Backs: R. Laird, L. Whitfield, Z. Williams, B. Smith, S. Collins, J. Clark (H.Jones, M. Hore)

Mids: P. Cripps, C. Oliver, S. Coniglio, D. Beams, S. Sidebottom, S. Walsh, Z. Butters, J. Hately (C. Constable, W. Drew, M. Gibbons)

Ruc: B. Grundy, T. Goldstein (P. Bines)

Fwd: P. Dangerfield, S. Menagola, I. Heeney, W. Setterfield, C. Burgess, M. Parker (M. Allen, B. Cavarra)

Cash left: $4,100

Nice looking team.
Although maybe having both Beams and Sidebottom is the only concern. However if you expect them both to be keepers it doesn't really matter.
One more thing - you do have a number of players that share the Round 13 bye.

My second attempt at my team:

Def: R. Laird, L. Whitfield, B. Smith, D. Moore, S. Collins, J.Clark (X. Duursma, M. Hore)

Mid: P. Cripps, C. Oliver, A. Treloar, S. Coniglio, S. Sidebottom, S. Welsh, Z. Butters, C. Constable (W. Drew, B. Scott, T. Atkins)

Ruc: B. Grundy, M. Gawn (P. Bines)

Fwd: P. Dangerfield, D. Smith, I. Heeney, W. Setterfield, C. Burgess, N. Balta (J. Petruccelle, M. Parker)

Cash left: $11,100

Solid DEF, MID, RUC, but relying on setterfield, burgess, balta on the ground in the forward line might be asking for trouble. It might make more sense to swap Moore and Burgess and use Duursma as D6 and Burgess as D7.

Sidey is a good POD if he can make it into the top 10 midfielders, but it's a big if.

Pretty good team, but my concern is:
- round 13 bye and having both Treloar and Sidey
- starting 3 rookies in fwd line could be trouble

Would try and start Drew in fwds. Downgrade Sidey to Libba/Crouch and use extra cash to upgrade Balta or Petruccelle. Or move Moore in Fwds and get Ridley.

Thanks for the feedback.  Had another go, trying to get the balance right not sure if I've gone more risky or less risk here:

Def: R. Laird, J. Crisp, Z. Williams, B. Smith, S. Collins, J. Scrimshaw ( J.Clark, M. Hore)

Mid: P. Cripps, J. Kelly, A. Treloar, R. Sloane, B. Crouch, S. Welsh, Z. Butters, C. Constable (W. Drew, B. Scott, T. Atkins)

Ruc: B. Grundy, M. Gawn (P. Bines)

Fwd: P. Dangerfield, I. Heeney, J. De Goey, D. Moore, W. Setterfield, W. Drew (J. Petruccelle, M. Parker)

Cash left: $9,600

Really like the Crispy pick. Not a fan of Smith myself but understand why people are picking him.

Kelly a big risk in the mids imo, we haven't seen or heard anything on him. Would rather go an Oliver, Fyfe, Neale. Love the Treloar and Sloane picks. BCrouch similar to Smith for me.

Lock and loaded rucks.

JDG an interesting choice, not sure how high his ceiling is going to be with so many gun scorers at the Pies now...but if he gets more mid time could really break out.

Thanks for the feedback.  I’ve been going back and forth between Kelly, Oliver and Neale for M2.

JDG is my biggest risk and the one I am most nervous about, mostly because we haven’t seen him in the JLT.  The word out of the Pies is that both he and Stephenson are being looked at for more midfield minutes and Pendles was talking up his potential to break out in 2019, just the other day.  The proof will be in the doing and I will either be bragging about this pick or crying about it in a few weeks (if I have the guts to stick with him).
