A mate plays for the dogs and he reckons CD is pretty much a lock to play off HB this year. Anyone reckon he's worth a punt this season? Think he could be a pretty good option at around 400k as a fwd. Most people will go down the Dunkley/McLean route but with Wallis and Libba most likely both locks for a big chunk of midfield time, and already having McRae, Hunter, Bontempelli etc. i think both Dunkley and McLean could find themselves fwd more often than not.

CD is a pretty composed user, and the dogs love to use him as a link up player. His kick to handball ratio isn't great but he knows how to find the ball and rarely wastes it.

Thoughts everyone?

I'm just wondering why anyone would play Daniel down back when he lacks height. He would be completely useless as a one on one defender.

Seemed to be taking a lot of kick-ins in JLT 1 and was one of the Dogs best. And remember he tonned up in 3 of the last 4 games last year.

A player to watch but would take balls to pick him from the start. If he plays like he did in JLT1 this weekend then he may be worthy of consideration.

Well I mean I'm just looking for a few POD options for people, and for those who may not watch many games the dogs play, I'm throwing his name up there as a viable cheaper forward option...

Apologies for going for a fwd outside of Danger and Heeney. Will reverse all my trades and stick to a missionary team

So its for others, not for you? There is another thread for PODs.

I have pencilled him in. Hopefully the half back role becomes his thing. He scored 125 pts in R21 v NM playing behind the ball / has the skills to rebound well. If he reverts back to a HFF role then it's a wasted pick and he'll be tradebait. Gives me another 100k... Goldy to Max.

I think I've seen enough to think he's legit.

Passed the eye test tonight, taking a lot of kick outs and generally all over the ball down back

He is looking very good so far.

Bringing him in this week. Looks very good in that role.

Averaging 102.5 in his last 8 games playing off half back. Whilst I hope he continues that form it’s not out of the question to see him average around 100 for the year, so slightly less than his current 103 average. Super consistent too.
