Hi guys! I'm just looking for some advice as to whether or not I'm on the right track for the year. Here's what I've got so far:

Def: J. Lloyd, L. Whitfield, A. Witherden, Z. Williams, S. Collins, B. McKay (C. Burgess, M. Hore)

Mid: P. Cripps, N. Fyfe, L. Neale, M. Crouch, S. Walsh, J. Hately, X. Duursma, C. Constable (B. Bewley, N. Hind, M. Gibbons)

R: B. Grundy, T. Goldstein (D. Fort)

Fwd: P. Dangerfield, D. Smith, I. Heeney, J. Worpel, C. Rozee, W. Setterfield (M. Parker, B.Cavarra)

No money left though :(

Very nice first team mate. Perhaps consider Rozee for N Blakey of Sydney who is doing very well atm. This would also free up $22,000 which may become handy before Rd.3 price changes. Best of luck, cheers.

POST JLT 1 (before Coll/Freo match)

Def: R. Laird, L. Whitfield, A. Witherden, Z. Williams, S. Collins, J. Clark (B. McKay, M. Hore)

Mid: P. Cripps, N. Fyfe, L. Neale, S. Coniglio, S. Walsh, Z. Butters, J. Hately, C. Constable (B. Bewley, N. Hind, M. Gibbons)

Ruck: B. Grundy, T. Goldstein (P. Bines)

Fwd: P. Dangerfield, D. Smith, I. Heeney, J. Worpel, W. Setterfield, W. Drew (N. Balta, M. Parker)

Whitfield is on notice. I didn't like what I saw from him, another poor showing will see him traded to Hurn, Mills or perhaps even Roberton (which would enable me to get one of Libba/Miles).

Lloyd out for Laird as I don't like what I saw from Lloyd with Mills back in the side. I remember last season his rise coinciding with Mills going down.

Crouch out for Coniglio; I believe Coniglio is the GWS mid to own. He looked mint. That being said if I need the money I'm still comfortable with Crouch.

Gray out for D. Smith; Smith only played a half but looked awesome. Gray not so much. Should finish in the top 6.

"Toby Greene is fit and firing" I'll believe it when I see it; Worpel was more than adequete although I (and a lot of others) got burnt on a similar player last year in Petracca. That being said, I like the Worpedo more than I did Petracca last season.

Considering finding a way to get Zac Clarke in at R3.

I'd pull the pin on Whitfield now if you're half considering it. His price isn't likely to go any higher so he's easily brought in through the year.

I wouldn't break your balls to get Clark either, Essendon is just as likely to play McKernan instead and accept they'll lose the hitouts as they've done before. Every chance he won't play.

I think so too it's just hard to do that to a bloke you've had in your side from your very first draft :(

I wouldn't drop Whitfield his disposal efficiency if enough to put him in most sides this year. Went at over 85% in JLT.

Can you get Duursma in for Makay?

Also do you think Roberton can match Witherden for the first 8-10 rounds?

Could save you some money to upgrade somewhere else? Maybe get Gawn in or upgrade a rookie to Libba/Miles? Worth a thought.

Money Shot

I think Whitfield will be a good pick and go anywhere between 90-100 but Roberton should go 80+ and even push 90 so in my opinion it would be worth saving the cash and getting him in.

Then you can get your choice of Libba/Miles

Agree that I dont think Clarke is worth the cash

Worpel looks like he could go 90+ this season however I can’t bring my self to pick him.

JLT2 Update (pending Sunday/Monday's games)

Def: R. Laird, L. Whitfield (or S. Hurn), C. Mills, Z. Williams, S. Collins, J. Clark (X. Duursma, M. Hore)

Mid: J. Macrae, P. Cripps, L. Neale, M. Crouch, J. Cousins, S. Walsh, Z. Butters, C. Constable (B. Bewley, T. Atkins, M. Gibbons)

Ruck: M. Gawn, T. Goldstein (P. Bines)

Fwd: P. Dangerfield, I. Heeney, J. Darling, J. Worpel, W. Setterfield, W. Drew (M. Parker, B. Cavarra)

Made a few changes:
-  Macrae looks the goods, he's in for Fyfe.
- Witherden failed to impress me last game so I want another look at Mills
- I'm really struggling with F3; Darling is my next choice. Averaged 107 when he played together with JJK last season, 97 if you remove the injuries and priced at 87. Could be a match winner. I need a backup plan though.
- Coniglio back to M. Crouch for $$$ reasons
- If Hurn performs today he's in for Whitfield. 29 touches for 86 is, frankly, awful. There's also this article: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/lachie-whitfield-poised-for-a-giant-move-20190309-p512y5.html
- Grundy to Gawn, Preuss injury has sold me on him. Goldstein was excellent in his 1 JLT.
- Used most of that money to go Hately--->Cousins. I liked his game, him and Walsh are both real chances to average 80+ and should have rock solid job security.
