Rocky is so tempting!! A little concerning with only the one tackle though. Didn’t see the game, so can only judge based on stats, but he got a lot of uncontested marks. I don’t think in the regular season he will be finding it as easy. A plus so though is that apparently he’s looking lean as ever and super confident with the shoulder.

Feel like Angus Brayshaw is trying to force my hand. Just concerned as to how susceptible he is to a tag, and how often that will come this year. He was nuts in their wins last year but struggled a bit in their loses and when he copped more attention. Definitely a lot of potential to push his average to 115-120+

Made 4 tackles in JLT 1 if that makes you feel any better. I think I have to run with him, mainly just because of FOMO.

Tempted. If it fails, you'd probably be able to jump out after 3 weeks. The bleeding wouldn't be as bad as 30 trade comps.

Cant tackle when you've always got the ball!

WhatMate

True his locked and loaded, way too nostalgic to leave him out  ;D

Apparently he is pretty chuffed with his numbers himself, might be the start of something good!

Newman stays or Newman goes?

If he was the same price as Williams or Smith i would say give him a shot?

Don't know?

Was set on picking Taranto as I think with Shiel gone he can take another step forward this season.

However I'm starting to consider Rocky ::) and Steele as well.

All 3 should benefit at the start of the season from missing players (Ward, Wines, Steven) and could start the season strong.

Thoughts on who the best option from this bunch is?

I'm going to take the punt on Rocky, he could go nuts?  I had Taranto but i think ill go with Rocky

I say Newman goes, Williams, Smith, or Hanley better value

At the moment I've leant the same way and he's in... Will see if it changes between now and round 1. If Rocky is named in the guts I think he will stay...

Surely not Hanley? Am I missing something?

Taranto and Steele I have as going a touch under 105 but with possible lows of 95.

Rocky is the outlier, he could literally be 80-120. Just depends how big your sack is! :P

Bit of a risk but hear me out :P Priced at 57 and from 2011 - 2016 has averaged 80-98. Of course the bloke struggles to get on the park but when he does he scores well. Scored 54 (16 disposals) from 54% in JLT Which isn’t amazing but still serviceable. He’s rated fairly well at GC and will be either running around in the mids or will get a chance to take some of the many kick ins if he is deployed down back. He’s averaged 80+ five times compared to Williams (2) Smith (1) and just that slightest bit cheaper. I’m currently rolling with Hanley and Williams, just got a gut feel about Smith and not sure how well him Milera and Laird will be able to share the points around. If Hanley fails it won’t be too hard to sideways to Smith or Birchall (if he’s ready). My main concern is lack of pre season, but happy to roll the dice to be different
