G'day guys/gals,

hoping for some feedback:

BACKS:  Laird, Witherden, Z. Williams, S. Collins, Logue, Quaynor - Duursma, Hore

MIDS:    Cripps, Fyfe, Neale, Martin, O'Meara, Miles, Waslh, Hately - Hind, Bedford, Gibbons

RUCK:    Gawn, Martin - Fort

FWDS:   Danger, D. Smith, Heeney, Rozee, Setterfield, Corbett - McFadyen, Cavarra

$22,500 left

Obviously Rookies are likely to need adjustment, but I've really struggled for some balance and would like your thoughts on how I've gone.

Thanks

maygs

I've just seen that McFadyen is injured and likely to miss the JLT series, so he is likely to come out.

I'll wait and see who will come in for him, but not really a big deal at this stage.

js19

Good team overall. Pretty standard.

Like the Stef pick.

I'd drop one of the more expensive rooks and upgrade O'Meara probably, but can wait until JLT to see which of the cheaper options are worth picking.

kilbluff1985

going to be more mid rookies then any other line and imo thety score better and make more cash

would drop quaynor for mckay he cheaper and will score about the same
would drop a premo mid for a rookie like atkins/constable/mchenry
i wouldnt pay that much for rozee/walsh but i know others are
McFadyen/Corbett are injured btw i know they just are place holders but look at Parker/McHenry

think of it this way

you want Hind and Gibbons on the field instead of Quaynor/Rozee so have less premo mids then you can ugrade Rozee/Quaynor also

Ringo

Nice team and structure,

Think having both Miles and Walsh in mids is a little overuse of cash, Would be looking at one only and downgrade the other to a cheaper rookie Constable and Bewley worth consideration. Wait for JLT though as you will also have to replace McFayden and Corbett,

I've made some changes - as we all do - so hoping for some feedback on these and team balance.
(Changes are bolded)

I can't stop changing my team.  I'll never learn, but what do you think?

BACKS:  Witherden, Mills, Z. Williams, B. Smith, Roberton, S. Collins - Burgess, Hore

MIDS:    Cripps, Fyfe, Neale, Martin, Cousins, Walsh, Butters, Hately - Constable, Hind, Gibbons

RUCK:    Gawn, Martin - Fort

FWDS:   Danger, D. Smith, Heeney, Mundy, Setterfield, Balta - Parker, Cavarra

Only $5,000 left

There just seems to so much money to be made in the midfield this year and I rarely feel comfortable with my forwards.  I don't like roller-coasters.

Please tell me what you thinks.

Maygs

Bully

Rock solid team, I'd probably look at getting Mills/Witherden up to Laird if you can. Think you need 1 proven elite in defence. Cousins down to a cheaper mid might be the ticket.

maygs

Ok, I've done a little more fiddling.

BACKS:  Witherden, Mills, Z. Williams, B. Smith, Roberton, S. Collins - Burgess, Hore

MIDS:    Cripps, Fyfe, Neale, Martin, Cousins, Walsh, Butters, Hately - Constable, Hind, Gibbons

RUCK:    Gawn, Martin - Clarke

FWDS:   Danger, Heeney, Mundy, McCarthy, Setterfield, Balta - Parker, Cavarra

Locks are BOLD

I feel comfortable about most of my team except the MIDS.

Considering:
Cousins to Libba?
Martin to Macrae?

Can I really start a Supercoach team without Dusty in it?

Also thinking about Fyfe to one of Oliver, Coniglio, the Crouchs.

FWDS:
Mundy v T. Green?  How many rounds before Greene has a brain fart and gets rubbed out for a few weeks?  Maybe we should have a poll on it?  ::)
Will Balta be top 22?  Will have to wait for that one.

RUCKS:
Stef is my long time loyal ruck, so I can't let him down - will watch his return from NEAFL.  Clarke may well become Fort again.  Will keep an eye on Belly and the ESS rookie lists.

DEF:

Smith could become Laird - but I can only really afford one big upgrade.  So in summary:

Dusty to Macrae?
or
Fyfe to Oliver/Coniglio/Crouch1/Crouch2?
or
B. Smith to Laird?

Whatcha think?

kilbluff1985

fyfe to oliver
mills to newman

OK.  I've come up with a team with a few differences and while I'm sure they are good picks, I just don't know if they're good picks.  ::) ???

DEFS:
Laird, Hurn, B. Smith, D. Moore, Ridley, J. Clark - McKay, Hore

MIDS:
Macrae, Oliver, Lyons, Rocky, Sheed, Walsh, Butters, Hately - Constable, Hind, Gibbons

RUCKS:
Grundy, Gawn - Bines

FWDS:
Danger, T. Kelly, Papley, T. Greene, Setters, Drew - Balta, Petrucelle.

$303k left

DEF:- I'm not super comfortable with Moore but who else without eating up my money reserves? Collins??
MIDS:- I know Rocky could be hit or miss - but the hits are BIG.  Fyfe could be the same type of ride but more $$ to start.  they seem to have similar high ceilings and are both injury/tag prone.
Sheed may change roles when Gaff returns??
I'm tossing up between Lyons and Neale as to which of them will score better - should I just go the same as others or do something different?
FWDS:- IMO Papley will score well and may end up being a keeper IF he can stay on the park.
Greene is an idiot and I'm concerned about suspension, but I suppose that will affect most of us??
What will the return of Wines do to Drew?  Will he stay in the 22 or off to the 2's?
I'm hearing people getting off Balta but I can't see why?

I've got money in the bank if it becomes obvious that some of my punts don't work.

Should I go cookie cutter with Macrae/Cripps/Neale/dusty/Fyfe/Walsh/butters or try something different?
Theses are my daily struggles.

kilbluff1985

don't care about byes mate?

lots of round 13 guys in there

maygs

Thanks KB,

That is 13 weeks away and my team will no doubt have changed by then.  I don't really see the point in having a team set up that may not score or generate money well for 12 weeks just so you score better in round 13.

By then nearly all the rookies will have gone.  I'm mainly concerned at this stage with the first 6-8 weeks to make sure I'm in a strong position after the byes.

I'm hoping that someone can help me regarding my current setup and the questions I posed after my team.

EA100

Yeh get rid of one of Greene or Moore 100%. If you do get rid of Moore, just get another rookie I reckon because you already have Ridley. The other issue with Greene is if he gets injured we never get a clear and accurate timeline on when he returns like some of the other GWS players like Kelly.
