Don't have enough trades to get rid of him, sorry. I can't get Laird anymore because of Daniel's injury so he'll probably score 150 or something this week.

Whitfield was a clear trade. 4 weeks plus was too long to hold.

Every injured GWS player has missed more games than they’ve said. Most of us have come to expect that now. Nick Haynes returning early last week is literally the only exception I can think of and no-one has him.

Anyway a quick google search of a broken collarbone shows it’s a 4 - 8 week injury. Whitfield will now miss 5 weeks (4 games and a bye), so we can’t complain about not expecting this. Playing this week was literally best case scenario.

Cogs and Greene (most recent injury) both missed only one week and I traded them expecting the trend to continue and they'd miss more... There's two more examples for you.

As we've come to that point where most teams are nearly finished and the season is more than two thirds done I thought the top 10 was worth a look.

Lloyd's 608k starting price was worth it but there were a few bargains to be had...Stewart 463k, Rampe422k, Rich 428k and Ryan 467k the best of them. Hurn 523k was slightly more expensive but value for money. Laird at 587k was expensive to start and with a season low to date of 81 he's proven his worth again.

I'm not sure if anyone has nailed defence this year. I know I didn't. Probably the best thing I did was trade Witherden out for Lloyd in R3. Whitfield was a good player to start but that's since gone sour. Even now, I've only got 4 of these players (Lloyd, Hurn, Williams and Laird). Williams was the only one I started with.

For the run home I'd say the best defence would be: Lloyd, Hurn, Williams, Stewart, Laird and Whitfield (assuming he's back this week). There's a handful of others you could have for the last spot (Sicily, Rampe, Ryan, Rich).

Stewart has really surprised me. AA locked in.
