So it's looking like Sicily will be thrown around the park as Clarkson decides whether he wants to win or wants to tank. Honestly can't recall a situation where an AA quality defender has had his season cut down by poor coaching & let's not beat around the bush here, Sicily has never been a forward, he was trialed there for several seasons & has never shown anything that suggests AFL quality.

So where to from here? So tempted to trade his arse before he starts losing bucket loads of cash. Simply can't trust Clarkson, not sure Clarkson even wants to stay at the Hawks based on the past couple of weeks. Something not quite right here.

I traded in Sicily to DT last week and I can't believe Clarko is doing this...  I can't afford to sideways yet another premium because I'll run out of trades so I guess I'm holding. It's pretty crap though.

Just traded him in this week instead of Stewart great move NOT

Brought Ryan in last week but was seriously considering Sic. Toss of the coin really. So much luck in this game that cannot be controlled.

Yes, there is luck involved for sure, but Stewart and Ryan were never a risk to be thrown in the fwd line, whereas Sicily was. Ryan's risk is with his role in defence being more of a shut down key position role. Stewart seemed the less riskiest move to make, but also the lowest upside.

Sounds like you haven't watched enough of him  ;)

He's isn't locking down and going full KPP - he's very similar to Hurn, Stewart etc being that general down back who they love to get the ball in his hands because he is such a good kick and reads the ball coming in so well - beautiful for SC

You can't say Sicily was a foreseeable risk to be thrown forward prior to Round 13 - no-one saw that coming.

It is funny how often you get a "You can't go wrong" response to a Ryan v Sicily or a Laird v Lloyd type decision though - often the difference in points turns out to be quite significant.

I was referring to trade decisions made this week for the rest of the year. I was going to get Sicily in myself until he played forward in round 13. I went with Stewart and Ryan instead. Sicily was my first choice out of those three before round 13.

I have been watching, and I am getting Ryan for that reason, but the only risk I was contemplating was if there was an injury in the backline and he had to move into a more KPP role, but that risk is very slim.
