Houli? Not sold, the time to get him was last week.

Is a 36k increase really the difference between picking a premium defender for the next 11 rounds or not?

I'm really struggling with Houli v Laird this week.

His career stats suggest he either

A) drops back to reality and 90ish
B) Gets injured

How far away is Short? He'll cut into his lunch eventually too

Short listed as 3-4 weeks.

As a Houli owner I'm very happy atm, but I picked him at 440ish knowing I would likely get what I paid for in the long run, ie around 95 av. So far a great investment. I don't think he'll keep it up at the current rate, but it will be a win overall even if he drops a bit. At 540k you'd need a 105 average. Can still happen, but there's more risk.

You could just say the same about Hurn though couldn't you? (I know he was durable before this week)

Short is 2-3 weeks away apparently.

Whitfield traded to Cunnington is essentially  what I’m doing by using Answerth’s DPP.
I already have Lloyd and Hurn who look to be the best like for like options. With Hurn out injured as well, Whitfield has to be traded. Doughnut on the cards otherwise and Whitfield is going to miss several weeks. Will fall back considerably without doing a trade.
Other defenders I like have the bye (Blakley and Ryan).
Houli like Cunnington has the R14 bye which suits my structure (same as Whitfield). However Houli doesn’t represent a good trade in option to me. Will let him slide. If you don’t have him by now I think you’re better off without him. Missed a cheaper price and some good scores - might get some dud scores and/or an injury as that is how he rolls.
Cunnington has been rock solid all year. I doubted it would continue but he is proving to be one of this year’s best. I was going to finish my mids without him but given Whitfield’s injury and my bye outlook I just can’t go past him now.

Jeremy Finlayson of GWS is on fire atm but like most I guess I know sfa about him or his role. Is he a good fit for Whitfield and then possibly D6 or 7 ?? Can anybody tell me anything about this guy please ??

Playing as a third tall in the forward line you could say. In the games I’ve watched he’s been there most exciting forward behind Cameron.

Thanks MS. Do you think he's capable of scoring well and lifting his price until Whitfield comes back ?  Looking for a straight swap when that happens ? Have you got or considered him? Thanks mate

He’s scoring is pretty dependant on him kicking goals. I haven’t considered him.

Thanks mate, appreciate the help. Think I'll go Connor Blakely next week for Whit. Might bring Toby in this week, my life has been too routine lately that trade should surely liven it up a bit. Cheers   pete of longtooth.

No can't do that!!

Finlayson has had a very good run of fixtures lately which has boosted his average. His only 3 tons for the season are against GC, Carlton and Richmond when they were bad in Rd 3.

Easy pass for me because I think he only averages about 80 from here on, maybe 85.

Anyone up for JJ? Scores have been reasonable and seems to be getting back to full fitness.

I was very tempted.

Think he is a great alternative to Sicily/Ryan. However, I ended up getting Sicily and Ryan...

Asked that in another forum and I brought him in over Sicily.

looking closely at lach weller for d6/d7 option for us who are cash constrained?    good age seems to be getting plenty of ball at gcs.  think he might support a 95 avg going fwd.
