Update with Robbo out

24/30 the same as my current team so like it a lot.

RaisyDaisy

Good to see you've come around to Moore in fwd as opposed to def

I just think it makes more sense, based off the def/fwd rookies available

Wanderer

Nicely balanced team...... Greene and B.Crouch only risky picks and Fyfe semi risky given his history to miss games. You can easily cover B.Crouch or Fyfe going down so not a big deal but if Greene goes down it might get a little tricky if there are no decent fwd rookies available.

Well I'm keen to see how Balta is used round 1 so this is how I'll structure up for the first week. Still think he'll be a good option if given second ruck duties so switching very easy.

The big decision for me was Fyfe vs Dusty but I figured I'll use Fyfe to get an early jump & then trade if necessary, the fact he can average 120 very appealing. Crouch fairly easy to correct, Libba or Sheed various options. Greene risky but I only need 6-7 games by which stage he'll be a sideways trade.

Just a question on the structure - you have DPP in the forwards but no link to the mids at this stage - why is that?
Or are you just waiting on final rooks?

Round 4 Update

So here's how we're looking heading into round 4, pretty happy considering I'm ranked around 5000 & have 28 trades up the sleeve (after this week). With the news Fyfe will be out I'm using this as an opportunity to get Lloyd in, structurally it makes perfect sense as I can't see how I can do well without him. Being such a flatliner with his scoring the chances of a drop are remote, looks like a repeat of the Docherty scenario a few years back. On the wishlist are Neale, Boak & Kelly, this will be my focus over the next few weeks, Stack a likely downgrade option & there might be some other Tigers worth considering like Jack Ross who should get a call-up this week (has averaged 30 possessions in the VFL).

Cash is King

.............and I'm struggling a bit, don't know how this will play out in the long run but the cost of getting uber premos onfield has meant I've missed Rozee, Butters & Scrimshaw. In hindsight Libba instead of Brad Crouch would have been the perfect call but you can't win them all. The idea at the start was slow burn with hopefully a couple of early bolters who could facilitate some early upgrades. Still possible but these guys need to get a wriggle on.

Libba

Still on the radar but trading him in now is basically committing to him being a keeper. Can't say he will be with 100% confidence so I'm passing this week as the Dogs play Collingwood who have a host of SC specialists. If he performs well then 450k is still a bargain & I would be fully prepared to use Walsh/Constable to get him in.

Tobias Greene

If the little runt is absent again I'll simply have to pull the plug, that may mean doing Fyfe to Libba, Greene to Boak. In saying that I'm relying on Cameron's word which I know has been totally misleading in the past, but last chance saloon for Leon & his reliability.

Jay Lockhart

I see Lockhart as a very important piece of the puzzle, not necessarily as a cash cow but more for his DPP & potential to be a floating donut in the event he gets dropped. It really is a win/win however the cards fall & he can always be tucked away at M11 if he hasn't put on the required cash.

Rookie Deadwood

Gibbons looks like a reincarnation of Garlett but fingers crossed he can inch his way to 200k, probably optimistic but all it takes is a run on the ball & his numbers should increase accordingly. Balta I think will get a move on this round, he was thrown around the park last week but showed some decent signs, particularly in defence, think he will eventually pull in a respectable score. Burgess I'll look at keeping so long as I have Moore, not really fussed about money.

Possible Bargains

Buddy, Hoff, Dusty & Fyfe (upon return) are looming as players I may consider, will obviously need to see some onfield scoring but they could be very handy in the long run.

Ringo

Scott has a positive B/e and depending on what he scores this week could be ripe to moo. Considering Scott to Stack next week.  Should be great cash grab for you with a few more games guaranteed and current B/E is -156.

Stack definitely, Scott should reap around 80k which isn't ideal but he would be the obvious choice. I may even do Constable to Stack, Walsh to Libba, but again it all depends on how these blokes go on the weekend.

Thinking back to last year I had the same call with Grundy, I balked & the rest is history. Not making the same mistake again & given I have limited cash flow I really believe it's now or never. No doubt that Fyfe will return to my side but I'm not willing to lose any cash at this stage, with Walsh & Constable in the team getting Fyfe back in won't be difficult.

My thoughts exactly. Bottomed out fyfe in for a fattened constable for me is the plan

Slight change of plan folks, after careful consideration I've decided to set up a Lloyd fund & just grab Libba this week, at worst he middles out at 450k, not a biggie all things considered, importantly this lands 220k in the coffers.

Next week will be Scott to Stack leaving my account at roughly 310k, enough I think to get Jordan Clark up to Lloyd in a few weeks, that money now deemed untouchable.

And for the shark move regarding Fyfe, I'm betting on a slow return and a price south of 550k, Walsh/Constable are now valued at 480k but are projected to hit 650k in a couple of weeks, Ross & Fyfe in, Walsh & Constable out. Libba now at M7 & with any luck Lloyd perched at D1 the week after. 25 trades left in the bank.
