This is probably the most likely structure for me, could potentially combine Greene & Hanners with Sloane + rookie, that will be dependent on the quality of rookies on offer.

As far as rookies not in the squad, Davies-Uniacke is one I'll keep close tabs on (despite his starting price), his backend to 2018 was super impressive in the VFL & could be a surprise packet this year. Birchall another worth considering if named.

Don't have Macrae but I may if I can free up some funds, otherwise I think Dusty will bounce back given he was carrying some niggles last year, Lynch in the side also means he will spend less time forward.

Just for the record, I'm a huge Rozee fan & reckon he is a must-have in the backline, the fact he is DPP also very handy.

Hanners just a seat warmer but Miles a possibility, as is Libba. Will only take one this year as I had 2 last year & was put on the back foot.

Ryan down to Zac Williams another possibility if funds needed.

Hey Bully, nice looking team.
Yeah imo would prefer Miles over Hanners as you suggested.
Midfield looks good and as a Tigers supporter hopefully Dusty can hit his straps again. I don't have Macrae either which frees up some cash as you said.
Rucks are essentially set and forget (don't reckon Gawn will be too affected by Preuss).
Not too sure about the Greene pick but if he can play a full season should hopefully be a decent pick. If I was you I'd like to see Greene to a Wingard type, or Greene and Hanners to a premo + rookie as you discussed.

Will definitely keep tabs on Wingard now that Titch is out, you'd expect he'll be given more midfield time. Slight concerns regarding attitude, I heard he wanted leave the moment he was signed, that never goes down well. Still reasonably priced though, I guess a good preseason & he's in the frame.

As for Hanners, tough one but he was playing hurt last year. Need to keep close watch as a good preseason & a fresh start could see him back at 95+. Miles probably doesn't have the upside but I'd expect him to grab this opportunity with both hands. Libba burnt me last year so I'm lukewarm but he's the cheapest of the lot.

Greene could be a steal or he could be mid price madness, just need to watch his form over the coming months. Limited preseason worrying but he's a keeper at best so there's that to consider.

Bully

So I just had a play & could feasibly do Greene/Ryan/Setterfield out. Wingard/Z.Williams/Corbett in.

Think that looks a tad bit safer.

Yeah don't like Wingard's attitude sometimes but I do like the scores he can generate.
Hanners definitely could go 95+ as you mentioned.
I guess I am a bit bias re Miles as a Tigers supporter.
Yeah Greene is an interesting one for sure!

Nice!

Not a huge fan of the Wingard pick myself - feel theres a strong chance he wont score well enough if he plays much time forward.

I thought the original team structure was excellent - although one change Id suggest would be Hill or Setterfield in the mids so that you open up the DPP as much as possible. This way it also removes a lot of the risk of picking Greene as if he gets injured you get the option of trading to a defender, mid or fwd to replace him.

Yep, good suggestion & something I will try & manufacture when we have more certainty.

Just on Wingard, I reckon he was originally recruited to fill Cyril's role but something tells me he will be playing as a full time mid now that Titch is out. Worpel is too raw to fill those boots & I don't think the Hawks have much depth. Definitely one to consider pending a strong preseason.

I also think Wingard exiting the Power will have a positive influence on Gray's output, could see him spending plenty of time in the guts.

RaisyDaisy

Wingard averaged 104 from the second half of last year when he moved to the mids

He also tonned up every time he played 50%+ mid time

Titch out, he's a lock for me as long as I see him in the mids during JLT which I expect we will

I've had Gray locked at F3 since SC opened - Wingard and Polec gone, Ryder playing more forward with Lycett in - I expect Gray to rotate through the mids enough, and he's forward time doesn't bother me either way as he's a proven SC gun so there's only upside as far as I'm concerned

Bully

Just a few alterations after taking all the advice onboard, will sit on this team for the time being.

Only 7k remaining which makes it tight, if Bennell gets up I'll do Walsh to Bennell freeing up some extra $$

Fair enough

You may also consider Bines to Fort if Fort plays with the extra $$, which will go you extra cash gen

RaisyDaisy

Looking good Bully, and like you mentioned in my team thread we're pretty similar (as usual) except for a few spots

Time to sit tight until JLT

Could be an option & I might look at D8 for the loophole if the cheap rookies are scarce.

If he plays/or close to, he will max out in time for the byes and give you that extra $$.  I just feel he is close to a must for a rookie, when you read about his training....
