Nice side GL. Hard to fault really. As you said, our fwd, def and ruck are nearly identical, but you've gone without Greene in the fwds, allowing you to go deeper in the mids. What do ya think Zorks will average this year?

I see Zorko going around 110 this year. Seemed to deal with the tag a lot better after the first month or so last year. Averaged just shy of 110 after R6. With the younger guys developing around him, think he'll get a bit more assistance as well.

I like the Zorko pick. Not sure about having to field one of Balta/Parker/Burgess every week but I'm not sure where you get the cash from and take a hit to upgrade

Yeah it's the one spot on the ground I'd love to improve. With the news of Roberton, I'm looking at Moore as a replacement. The swing with Burgess would allow me to play the best one of Duursma, Hore, Balta, Parker, Burgess each week. Also looking at Petrucelle over Parker, however I don't mind Parker's JS, seems pretty good atm.

The other option is going a mid premo down to Libba, and getting Greene in up fwd at F4. But I feel more comfortable with the (mostly) Guns and Rookies strat.

Update since the Roberton news



Roberton down to Moore, which gives me the cash to go Gibbons to Butters and Neale to Fyfe. Not sold on starting Fyfe yet, may go back down to Neale, or even go for Dusty perhaps. Moore swing with Burgess will allow me to (hopefully) field the best rookie each week of Duursma, Hore, Balta. If i find an extra few thousand dollaridoos, will go Parker to Petruccelle most likely.

Also still looking at Boak up forward. Tempted to drop Heeney, not sure why. Just a gut feeling.

Scratch that slightly. Petruccelle in for Balta. Swinging Moore forward to F4. Duursma D6.

Lots of similarities between yours and mine. Structurally identical, with a sprinkling of personnel differences.

I have Lloyd/Mills v your Laird/Witherden.
I have A. Brayshaw v your Zorko.

The main difference being that I want Rookie+ security at BOTH D4 & F4.

I've therefore placed Moore at F4.

I have Coniglio v your Macrae, and used the cash to put Ridley at D4.

Yeah its a good point re: not having a rookie at either D4 or F4. Depending on what rookies are named rd1 and everything, might need to make some changes. I do like my premos though haha. Cheers man!

With doubts about Balta (know you have replaced him with petra) would prefer Moore at F4 swapping with Burgess. and Duursma on field. However wait till we see which rookies are named as there may be surprises thrown up,

Need to keep on eye on trading though with 7 prems out in Rd 12. Maybe look at options to replace Kelly for similar.

Chose Zorko over Neale as he was a lot cheaper and reckon they can average around the same.

Are you at all concerned that with Lyon and Neale coming in that Zorko may spend a little less time in the mids?  I know that Beams has gone, but it seems that the lions midfield is strong and deep without him.
