Want to grab Zerrett this week but he will probably cop the Hutchings tag. Lucky De Boer is out next week haha.

Wait a week?

I'm looking at grabbing him this week now myself

Last 3 scores vs WCE have all been 100+ so I assume he's either done well vs Hutch, or wasn't tagged?

Sloane huge value at 511k, hard to believe you can trade Brad Crouch & get some change.

Well I actually thought Brad Crouch & Sloane would average similar before the season started, so it's not that surprising to see them around the same price really.

Sloane being a genuine Top 8 midfielder contender is more hard to believe for mine.

Brad never gone over 95, think there will be a 15 point difference by the end of the year.

Yeah Brad's career to date has been crippled by injury though.

I expected Brad to take the next step this season and Sloane to continue to struggle with the tag. That was the basis for my pre-season prediction and I'm guessing many other Brad starters and Sloane avoiders felt similar.

It's certainly a big call to offload Crouch this week but it's my best chance to nab Dunkley, my only chance really. Think the extra game makes it a no brainer but could potentially come back to bite.

finding it hard to split between Bont and sloane

Sloane is at a great price atm and Bont can be at a similar price next week with the higher BE

ALso feel without libba that could  benefit  Bont even greater.

The dogs forward line seems to be a shambles still - i mean they were desperate enough to draft a guy out of the VFL and throw him in there a week later.

With that in mind, I still reckon there is a significant risk that Bev throws Bont back down there at some stage to help out unfortunately.

Same dilemma but I'm grabbing Sloane, genuine top 10 mid this year. Bont still a good pick but less likely to keep up the scoring.

He’s a different monster this year.

He's had heaps of strong years, including seven years at 105+, and three at 110+ (if you include this year). I reckon it's more that he's chronically underestimated than different this year!

I meant in terms of battling attention. Seems to not get towelled up but he’ll be more than serviceable. Scored a ton vs MDB.
He was always recognised and still is but his bad games aren’t bad anymore. He’s built himself a nice little floor. Ceiling is still as big
good point KB

Agree Monty,  more than happy to sit on Crouch as he still has upside for reasons you outline and why I started with him.  Brayshaw been huge disappointment this year and I have not been able to identify what the problem is.   Of my final he is the one I may upgrade.  Would prefer to get another m/f and loophole for rest of season.  Just not sure of where the cash will come from.   Have to upgrade Duursma to Whitfield or Hurn shortly to finish def,  and want a m/f for f7/m9  Probably T Kelly or if desperate and short of cash perhaps look at menegola  or Heeney/Gray (if he stays in mids). So Brayshaw stays until I get a m/f option I can afford.

Looking for a cheap option to finish off my midfield. Matt crouch at 490 looks to be some value. Can he average 110 for the rest of the year? Or should I spend the extra 50-70k and grab a merrett, Duncan, Bont type?

Depends what the extra 50-70k would get you elsewhere really.

If you already have a fully upgraded side besides 1 midfielder, then go with Bont

The scenario would be Stewart and Crouch in, and only use 2 trades and team complete with 6 trades leftover. Or use 3 trades to get more cash for a more expensive Mid.

Would 3 trades allow Stewart and a better mid than Crouch and finish your side? If so 5 trades left is fine

Yeah it would. I could get literally anyone. Kelly even. Just don't want to use the trades too early. Still 5 rounds till finals haha. 5 trades can go quickly in 10 weeks with injuries and restings. Cheers

Hard question. I'm wondering the exact same thing. M Crouch averaging 107.3 if you take out the injury affected game. Because it lets me go Duurs to Hurn next week instead of Ryan or Stewart this week, I'll probably give it a go.

Any love for Hannebery if he tons up this week?

Could be a nice M9 or M8, depending on how your team's looking. 27 touches from 69% game time is pretty decent in his first game back..

Gotta say he looked good in patches. Was butchering the ball though. If he does well again it'd be tempting..
