About time Coniglio repaid my patience!

I traded Coniglio when he and Crouch were out to avoid a donut...

Great result for Cogs
but i calculate that as at tonight i am 230 to 240 points in front on trading him early (even with tonights score)
Kelly looks dangerous too!
Tonight aside they are hard to separate "going forward"
Both with potential of missing games to injury but the ceilings .... geez

Of course I pick Conigs instead of crouch to trade out

Anyone else?

Yeah, same here. And because of it, I've had to play spud rookies too to cover Crouch. If I only had Cogs and traded him, I might be up because of his 0 and last week's poor score. But it's the choice between the two that makes trading Cogs so so painful. Did it in all three comps too!

I'm not sure how the calculations work on breakevens etc but Oliver should be a nice price in the next week or two. Anyone else thinking about picking him up?

Man oh man! I’ve never seen a season go off the rails like yours mate! You just can’t win a trick.
Makes me feel a bit better about my basket case of a side. I’ve had a fair few of the same spuds as you, but lucky no Crouch and held Cogs. Only because I’m so low on trades though. :P

I'm finding it really interesting to look at my ranking trends in 2017 and 2018 then compare it to this year.

2017 - was ranked 330 at this stage, was top 2000 every week after Round 1, and finished 634th (after running out of trades)
2018 - was ranked 1396 at this stage, was top 3000 every week, finished 2464th (after running out of trades again)
2019 - currently ranked 30,819, best I've been was 18,641...

I can't think of any moves that have looked incredibly bad without the benefit of hindsight and even most of the moves with hindsight have seemed more bad luck than bad strategy. Oh well, I'll fumble through the rest of the year and try again next year.

I think year by year the standard of SC scores on average are going up based on the amount of newspaper articles, podcasts, websites and those damn forums giving people too much information. My ranking has copped a hit just like yours and the only way I see myself climbing up is a good run over the byes, picking up some good PODs for the rest of the year and hope the top scorers I don't have in my team go down.

I think the problem the last couple of years has been that the popular mid priced players almost all worked out.  Doing deeper research than other coaches isn't as much of a competitive advantage if the consensus pick is actually a good one.

Cookie cutter teams have never done better.

The Sloane injury couldn't have come at a worse time

Looked like just a strain to me, but Zwil has missed the past few with the same thing so I can only assume Sloane will miss now too

No way can I carry him over the byes, and he's been so good this year it sucks I'm going to have to trade him most likely

Need to replace him like for like bye wise

Kelly, Cunnington and Cogs seem the only 3 to choose from
