No Cripps or Dusty for me. Taking that as a POD

I'm not overly concerned by that game.

Cripps was priced highly and score as expected, but isn't going to be increasing In price excessively unless he starts averaging 150. It was a calculated risk that I'm still happy with

Martin didn't look that good so while he pulled out a 109 I'm still confident in that being a right call as a season long pick.

Martin didnt record a tackle, didnt kick a goal, gave away 3 free kicks ( got 0)  and still pumped out a score above his price.

Thats incredibly promising.

Also spent the majority of the game in the midfield, which is what we wanted to see

Definitely happy with this score too considering the above points.

Yeah, still had 30 touches. But as we all know one game is never really enough to know. Probably be 4-5 matches in before we can realistically know if it was right or wrong.

On the other hand, no tackles is very concerning. It was partly his tackle numbers dropping from 4 to 2 that led to his dip in average last year. I picked him hoping that would improve.
If not for 1 play he would have got around 90. He was on 64 then 89 after that one play.
I really hope he starts tackling otherwise another sub 105 average is imminent.

That was the worst looking 109 point game I’ve ever seen from anyone. Dusty looked very slow (had at least 2 more HTB no calls against him as well). I was at the game and actually didn’t notice in q2-q3. No tackles extremely concerning.

That 109 was a gift from CD, take it and run Dusty owners.

Dusty looked a little rusty, but if he keeps playing in the midfield he will be a very good selection this year. I don't have him but I don't think those that do have him have anything to worry about.

I’ve structured up a little differently. Gone 4 premos, Macrae, Cripps, Oliver (who are my top 3 total points predictions), MCrouch then 4 rooks (including Walsh and Duursma in the mids). My thinking is with Gawn R2 I’m left about 450k so just looked at all players under that price point and decided I rate Mills highest for total points potential (over bcrouch, sheed, Libba ect) and certainly for becoming an eventual keeper so essentially looking at it as if Mills was my M5 with Duursma in the backs. Will look at Scrim/Clarke as my first upgrade to best available mid and move Duursma back.

I like this structure but the risk element is Ill need 3 of Duursma, Butters, Scott, Hatley, Constable, Atkins to hold their places and score well enough to justify a starting field position for 6-8 rds. Risk and reward I guess.

What you are doing makes sense. Mills is a good choice and if he ends up a keeper then you will reap the rewards. With the rookies you mentioned, there is a high probability of 3 out of the 6 playing every week (even though I don't have Hately). I don't see much risk there. Just back yourself in and go with your gut.

As a non-owner who overlooked him to exploit a POD and had a gut feeling he would continue his relatively disappointing 2018 form, I am absolutely filthy with that joke of a score.

He was completely kissed on the **** by Champion Data.

How is 30 touches and 11 score involvements for 109 so bad?

It isn't

of the 30 touches, 15 of them where contested and 18 of them where kicks.

seems fair enough for what he did in a reasonably low SC game

_wato

Exactly Holz and RD.

Everyone having an absolute sook, you knew Dusty was a CD fave.

Even then the score last night was deffs deserved. Should’ve been higher had he not been stuck on the bcneh for half of the first quarter.

RaisyDaisy

I think the gripe is that he was on 64 and shot up to 89 quickly, then made it to 109 easily from there

If it was a general consistent increase to 109 without that noticeable 25 point jump I'm sure most people wouldn't even be mentioning this
