Haven't really considered Fyfe just because he's guaranteed to miss games, but he has the best bye and that's super attractive, otherwise I'm on track to get smashed in the last bye if I don't change things up

Fyfe + 70k vs Macrae - leaning towards Fyfe

Or Steele as a much cheaper option, but not sure I want to pick a breakout contender

How does Fyfe go without 211 in the team? Young Darcy still learning the craft, lot weaker midfield to carry. Reckon I'll pass and observe for now.

Yeah 5 mins later I decided he's a wait and see too. Not starting him

PICCOLLO

Fyfe a gun but I need someone who doesnt miss more than 1-2 games. The weeks he misses and you chuck on a rookie who scores 50 makes all the difference.  Especially when Ross says he’ll be back next week for 2-3 weeks in a row.

Fyfe a talent though. Wouldnt worry about him playing in a weaker side or without Sandy.

Really think Pendles is worth more than a thought.

SC/DT ratio way down these last couple of years.  I think the extra support of Beams probably helps correct that and I can see him getting back to 115 if he gets his DT back to 105ish.

Think he's as good a chance as Crouch to end up at 110 ave @20+ GP.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Pendles return to 110+ but ya just couldn't pick a Collingwood mid with all the options they have there. They can't all score big

I'm trying to find a way to squeeze Beams in, but Pendles is very tempting. Had Treloar last year and he was fantastic too..

Perhaps the best play is to wait and see who (if any) are worth picking up.. Adams still has to come back in at some stage as well.

Trying to remember back to 2012 Collingwood - Beams, Pendles and Swan all went 120+, with Sidebottom averaging 106. Could they do something similar again?

They could but when you consider there's Grundy, Treloar, Adams, Beams, Pendles, Sidey they can't all be huge and I don't fancy picking which will and which won't. If I had to guess, Grundy 120, Treloar 112, Adams and Beams 108, Pendles and Sidey 105

Less congestion in the middle is likely to suit someone like Fyfe.

While he doesn't have breakaway speed he is one of, if not the best 1 on 1 player in the league. The only thing that has me hesitant right now is the elbow. The fact he hasn't played JLT I don't know if I can pick him or how it is going to hinder him through the season. Sandi or no Sandi, look at what Cripps did last year in the Carlton team and swap his name with the proven Fyfe.

Elbow fine, don't forget he was playing in that bollocks competition not so long ago. So hard to leave him out, even with all the injury concerns.

Surgery came after the AFLX in which he was wearing a compression band to protect it.

So I just checked his stats in losses & without Sandi, from first impressions it does have some impact on his scoring, not sure what to do here. Might also be able to squeeze in Walsh if I go down to Dusty. Decisions, decisions.

Think dusty will lift his average back up this season

Sample size for games without Sandi is too small. In most of those recent seasons when Sandi missed Fyfe was either injured himself or coming off injury.

Losses is a different story. He has also had to play forward in chunks in recent seasons which doesn't necessarily benefit his scoring. I think with Lobb/Hogan into the team they won't really use him forward all that much. Since Pav retired he seemed to be just about the only guy they could rely on to take a grab up forward but his goal kicking lets him down.

Bugger it, Dusty & Walsh in, Fyfe & Collins out.

So what do you reckon? Fyfe/Collins or Dusty/Walsh?

I think walsh is a must have
