A lot of people are considering the Grundy, Gawn, Fort combination as their rucks. Is my current R1-R3 but all 3 share the same bye round (round 13).

Gawn will go out of my side before Grundy. Time to look at the drawing board to look for another R2.

Dont compromise your picks for 1 week

Probably end up starting Grundy/Gawn anyway but will play around with my team and see what I come up with.

Fort will be long gone by then anyway so he's irrelevant

It's the bye round that will be the worst with so much prems having that week off, but yeah I'm not letting one single round stop me from having every other round of that players scores

I guess we really aren't going to be confident on what rucks to start until we see this new rule implemented in the JLT

If you're picking Witts you may as well pick Miles too. Cos unless Miles single-handedly turns the GC midfield around Witts' taps will be going straight to the opposition again. Have a look at his hit out numbers vs SC scores last year.

Everyone is copying West Coast :)

Grundy is still a lock, nothing going to change at the pies.
Gawn is the one to watch, hard to pay that much for someone who could drop 20+ ppg

Will also make for some interesting late changes depending on the weather or what the opp is doing.

Well duh, Miles is in

people that confident Grundy will repeat the dose?... I'm not, but I'm still in shock at what he produced last season.

He could be the 2019 Dusty Martin flop, but again just imo.

He could be or he could still be the highest scoring ruck again the new rules with less congestion will suit him as he plays like a giant mid anyway , you will be in the minority if you don't start him.

I'm really warming to Witts too. His disposal numbers are getting better and good for a ruck. 2nd behind Grundy for pre-clearance disposals, and 3rd for clearances. The HTA scoring helps the great tap ruckman and strong midfields, and it's here that Witts can't match the top guns. But Miles will turn alot of those Hit Outs into HTAs (4th for total hitouts). But add to that I see Witts being a main beneficiary of the new prior opportunity rule. Being more of a disposal and clearance ruck rather than HTA ruck, the new rule means his strengths can be utilised more.

Got him last year when Ryder went down early and it was a waste of a trade got Grundy 2 weeks later and never looked back won't be going near him this year

It's no coincidence that the two best rucks in SC at the moment also have two great midfield units around them. It's why I'm not even considering guys like Martin, Witts or Goldstein.

Nank then. Im strongly looking at Nank or Witts. Both heading into prime ruckmen age. Nank plays with one of the best midfield around him too
