I have to say I have benefited from advice Mat0369 has given so I probably should hold back on the bad attempt at humour

I was actually better off fielding a donut round 2 and bringing in Mummy instead of Hoff.

Back on Hoff, I honestly have no idea what to do with him. I've watched their last two games and he is nowhere near the ball. Dixon is still a while away and that's the only way I see him go up the ground. They seem to be looking for Gray/Ryder when they go forward and he isn't on the wing enough to rack up the cheapies. He isn't being used as a link up man either. It feels ugly and I can see these terrible scores continuing.

Maybe start looking at what you would turn Hoff into if you were to offload him. What would be your likely options?

On top of that if the oppo kicked 2 or 3 in a row or sometimes to close off the end of quarters Hoff would often go back to be a +1 which is usually a pretty good role for fantasy. 666 has put a dent in that scoring avenue as well so until such time as Marshall comes back at the very least about the only thing Hoff has going for him is his DPP ruck cover.

I have the cash for Grundy. If I make the trade it's exactly that one

For those with Bines, Westhoff is looking like a snack in a months time. But really need to see some improvement before pulling the trigger on him.

I have Bines and am watching!

Grundy is a lock for top 2 rucks this year. He is set and forget, barring injury of course. Gotta have him if you can get him.

Im serious thinking of going Westhoff to Rozee gives me some cash to go Scott to Libba or just the straight swap Westoff to Kelly or Boak its doing my head in cant decide what to do with the Hoff

If you’ve got Bines, keep the Hoff imo. That cover can come in real handy, and boost his real value above the recorded average. I’m looking at getting him in when he bottoms out, potentially for Rozee...

If you are going to offload Westhoff and you think he won't be a top 10 fwd keeper, then you have to get in a keeper. I would straight swap to Kelly if you really wanted to trade him. Don't go chasing Rozee now because it's too late. Do you have a DPP you can do Westhoff to Libba with?

Wanderer

I don't have Hoff, but if I did I would be pulling my hair out so I do sympathise with those that have him. Not sure if it's of value, but if I did have him this is what I would do (If I also had Bines DPP)

1. If I only used up to 2 trades so far, I would offload him for a player looking like a genuine keeper, such as Kelly or Lloyd/Whitfield (if possible via DPP). Also, possibly offload for a mid pricer that could potentially become a keeper or will make some decent coin like Libba (via DPP if possible).

2. If I already used 3 trades or more, then I would hold onto Hoff and hope he can turn it around because he has never been this bad before and his DPP with Bines will be handy in the long run.

If I didn't have Bines DPP then I would consider Option 1 above even if I already used up 3 trades, and borderline 4.

It might not help those that are struggling what to do, but I thought I would give you my two cents worth if I was in your shoes.

Maybe just hope he can start kicking 3+ goals in the meantime just to hold sway.

I'm keeping the Hoff. Started him knowing I would upgrade a fwd rookie later on to Gawn. Then Hoff is cover with Bines as swinging donut.

js19

If you’ve got Gawn and the Hoff forward you can loop this week, considering Preuss is named. Gawn could stink it up...

Mat0369

If there is a week to start Hoff it's probably against a struggling Richmond. Their midfield is going to get ripped to shreds by Port and the ball should be inside 50 for Port a hell of a lot. If he can't score a minimum of 80 this week forget about him being reliable.

Dixon looks to be a long term injury as well. If you don't have him I probably wouldn't bother until the byes.
