DEF   Lloyd,  Laird,  Whitfield,  C Ellis,  S Collins  C Burgess         RES  I Quaynor,  M Hore

Will wait for Titchells price to drop. Can Gawn possibly get better with more license to roam if Preuss plays with him ??  Woops train time, cheers.
$53,000 in the kitty.

A few points
Lloyd will be overlooked by many due to price and could reward those who start him if he continues his form

Mitchell is less likely to drop in price than say Cripps, who has Hewett and Jacobs rounds 3+7 or Macrae who may not get as much inside work with Libba back imo

Any reason for Danger not being picked in the fwds?

Wingard could go to another level under Clarko I like the pick.

DeGoey is a gun but will he get enough mid time given a) he's so dangerous fwd and b) the Pies mids are stacked with Pendlebury , Adams, Sidey, Treloar, Sier, Beams?

Team looks really well balanced.

Mitchell and Danger not being in the team do make it a heap stronger.

It will be hard to get both of them in later in the season though as you may need 3 trades rather than 2.

Thanks MS, started Danger in the middle but have since moved him down forward, Brought in Mitchell for Macrae and J Short for Lloyd. Cheers mate Think Short will really benefit from the new kick in rule.New one looks like

DEF   R Laird  L Whitfield  J Short  D Ellis  S Collins  I Quaynor,       RES  J Scrimshaw  M Hore

MID   T Mitchell  C Oliver  L Neale  D Martin  T Taranto  S Walsh  L Stocker  W Setterfield      RES   X Duursma  J Hately  J Buck

RUCK   B Grundy  M Kreuzer      RES      P Bines

FOR   P Dangerfield  I Heeney  C Wingard  J Lukosius  C Rozee  S McAdam       RES  S Bolton  I Mosquito

Short could be a nice pod for you!

Taranto should only keep on improving, as a mid only I am a bit worried however.

Great team structurely though.

Thanks mate, all the best.

Ricochet

If you went CEllis to say Wigg, you'll have an extra 130k to upgrade Taranto to a true premo Saber

Good team Sabre but don't see Short as being SC relevant even as a Tiger supporter  ;) but rest is a good starting point

Thanks for the input guys, and taking some of it on board.
C Ellis                      to          C Burgess
B Short                    to          Z Williams
T Taranto                 to          R Sloane
leaving $134,300 in the kitty. Burgess is just filling space. Williams is there for the price. And picking Sloane as a big improver next year. This year he had to contend with contractual and injury issues. Will be very interested to see how the umpires interpret this new niggling rule that will be put in place instead of the spruiked red card. I think the article concerning niggling mentioned jumper punching and blocking but it has me wondering if this could be used to lessen or nullify the hard tag. That's one reason I'm loving Sloane, another is the eight out of thirteen home games before the bye, not to mention the price. Thanks ubeaut for your input, I tool all your points on board.

Good side mate, don't mind Short so if its possible to get him and ZWilliams in the side, would be ideal. I'd say you probably need a stronger F4, but your mids run pretty deep so that compensates.

Also Neale :-*

Thanks SilverLion. Thinking perhaps midfield will have the most rookies lining up for rd.1 due to the selection nature of the drafts, so at this stage just trying to find the best fit for players that I think I'll want in my team come end of the season. Last year was an absolute catastrophe and I only ended up with 4 players that I started with. The most interesting thing about the new kick in rule just may be how clubs set about defending against it. The preseason comp this year may be very enlightening on many fronts, Cheers and thanks for the input mate.

I actually didn't mind the Short pick. He's one that doesn't play on much and could really benefit from the new kick in rule.

In saying that, Williams has to be a lock i think. Team shaping up nicely.

Although I like Short as a nice pod who will improve this season Williams is a must!

Sloane will likely score 105+ this season I think which is more than enough for M8 and could even hit 110 but he will have his games where he scores below 70 which is why I’m choosing to avoid him.

Good team though.

Thanks MS, but about Sloane though reckon we'll have to wait and see what this new niggling rule covers. The one brought in to avoid the red card. Because if it negates the hard tag players like Sloane and perhaps Zorko could come right back into calculations. Think the pre season next year will be more enlightening than any before it. Cheers mate.

Could you clarify the new rules for me? I have heard about the niggling rule but don’t really understand it.
