After seeing the performance of some rookies and prems in first rounds have dowgraded Williams to Brodie Smith to keep $90k in reserve for Rd 3 adjustments. Do not think lose much with the downgrade
Which rookie you referring to?

Balta for one at least on bench though did not make B/e - may be different next week but on chopping block at the moment. Some others still left to play.  Each year I have to do a couple of correction trades Rd 3.

Neale was massive tonight. He looks to have settled in nicely at the Lions and should easily be top 10 this year. I'm curious to see how your Freo trio go. I had an eye on Mundy but went with Menegola/Boak instead and Luke Ryan could really benefit from the kick in duties like the other boys have this round.

Rd 1 Updtae

Rd 1 Score 2054
Total Score 2054
Rd 1 Rank 41849
Overall Rank 41849

Worst Rd 1 ranking since my initial year of playing SC,  :(

Team for Rd 1:
Def: Simpson, Ryan, Smith, Collins, Dursma, Clark (Hore, Burgess)
Mid: Cripps, Fyfe, Neale, Coniglio, Martin, Walsh, Constable, Butters (Scott, Atkins, Gibbons)
Rucks: Gawn, Grundy (Bines)
Fwds: Dangerfield, Heeney, Mundy, Moore, Settlefield, Drew (Balta, Petrucelle)

Cash 85k

Changed Williams to Smith for cash and no real loss points wise.

Premos Simpson, Ryan, Grundy, Gawn, Danger, Heeney, Mundy all scoring less than 100 really hurt.
Bad decision not to take Cripps VC score but not alone with that action.

Trades this week probably none unless someone dropped or injured although Collins definitely being watched.

sammy123

Yes one of my worst rankings after rd 1 too. But not my worst. Shoulda have taken cripps vc killed me.

So are you dropping balta this week or holding? All the best for week 2

Ringo

Still undecided awaiting teams to see if other issues. May risk holding as suspect he may have been dropped as horses for courses given lack of height in Pies forward line.

Thats the reasoning I believe he was dropped. However not bringing in Soldo now that Balta was dropped was confusing.
SF 2018 Nank/the team got murdered by Grundy/Cox combo.
Balta would have been handy as a chop out in the ruck, even if they didn't need him in defense.

PICCOLLO

Solid team as usual Ringo. Martin, Collins and Mundy have small question marks over them but gotta hold.

Holding Balta seems like the go.  Neale, Moore and Coniglio terrific picks.

Ringo

After team announcements and I usually allow 3 corrective trades used 2 Balta to Parker as no guarantee he will return and Hore to Wilkie who appears to have the better JS.  Got caught last year keeping rookies who were dropped and hoping they will get games again sooner. Shai Bolton was one and cannot remember the second.

Rd 1 Update

Rd 2 Score 1997
Total Score 4051
Rd 2 Rank 110,794
Overall Rank 85,855

Worst Rd 1 ranking since my initial year of playing SC,  :(

Trades done -
Balta to Parker
Hore to Wilkie - Not the best trade and in hindsight should have kept but did not realise Collins would go 86.

Team for Rd 2:
Def: Simpson, Ryan, Smith, Wilkie, Dursma, Clark (Collins, Burgess)
Mid: Cripps, Fyfe, Neale, Coniglio, Martin, Walsh, Constable, Butters (Scott, Atkins, Gibbons)
Rucks: Gawn, Grundy (Bines)
Fwds: Dangerfield, Heeney, Mundy, Moore, Settlefield, Drew (Parker, Petrucelle)

What to do to get back on track:
Rookies sound and will moo so nothing required there.
Prem Issues -
Mundy definitely being managed and TOG is well down so needs to go.
Simpson - Age is showing and Newmann may be taking some points. Can see Average 90 only
Dusty - 0 Tackles is the concern and does not seem to be near the ball a lot, Scored 102 in first round so may be worth keeping for the moment
Heeney - Has an ankle issue - Swans have 8 day break so  will assess after this game.

So trades this week:
Mundy to Kelly as sideways or Worpel, Boak, Daniels, Gresham for cash gain to deal with further issues
Simmo to Lloyd - Lloyd showing he is a must have this year.

crowls

a few issues ringo.

agree get lloyd in probably and then mundy/heeney to kelly/boak/worpel
i would go worpel as will cost you more later.    boak is best pod option though.

sammy123

Couple of issues but those trades sound great. Collins got a huge point boost from his huge mark at the end

EA100

Those two sound very good to me, will definitely strengthen up that backline, as Ryan is a bit touch n go with his scoring so far.

_wato

Love the Mundy to Kelly trade Ringo.

Would be holding on Simmo though imo

After sleeping on it deciding only to trade Mundy - Giving Dusty and Simmo another week or so. Trades are precious and can make ground back up later.

Just need to decide Mundy to who - Kelly and Dahl unfortunately has the Rd 13 bye, Boak will He score as well with wines back and Worpel still relatively young and will he keep it up. Thinking maybe stuff the byes at this early stage correct with upgrades and go Kelly.  Six prems out in rd 13 may be workable.

Bye Prems if trading in Kelly 2/6/5
