Very similar side to mine. Love the pod in Ryan he could easily go 95+ this year. No Williams is interesting!

Ringo

decision Smith + Crouch  v Williams + Libba , Toss of the coin really

Crouch 95 Smith 90= 185
Zac Williams 90 Libba 95 = 185 so much the same. Think Smith may have the higher ceiling.

If you think Crouch is going to avg 95 I wouldn’t pick him. I think people picking him are banking on a 100-105 avg.

id lock in Williams not matter what you do. Even though alot of us are picking smith, before last year in his previous 3 years his best average was only 82. In Williams last two full seasons he averaged 88 and 94 (2017), and since that year there have been some changes to the team that could even more positively help williams output; such as Nathan Wilson left and heath shaw has gotten more older and hopefully Whitfield will play a more fwd/mid role this year. Meanwhile when looking at smith, both Milera has rapidly improved.

with all this said, both players have very good value and im picking both. If williams is fit for the whole seasons i can see him easily finishing top 10 and even maybe going close to 95-100. If Smith does take most of the teams kickouts i can see him going anywhere between 85-90.

If you believe these are their prospective averages, pick Smith and Libba for the 185 points, and spend the leftover $ elsewhere...?

I think williams is good for 100 av  but the other option gives you $$$

Version 234564

Cash left 15k

Defence giving me the most grief this year - Watch on both Lloyd, can he maintain last years average given the previous 2 years were 84 and 87, and laird who I think will drop to 90/95 with return of Smith and advance from Milera. Have gone for the ever consistent Simpson but if more cash is required may downgrade to Crisp or Hurn. Really hard to get a grasp on Top 10 this year.
Mids: Really liking Steele as a POD as think he can he can take the next step to a 105/110 average which will do me for M9, Prepared to take risk with Fyfe.
Rucks: Set and forget - If either fail than a correctional down trade is easy. Will accept drop to 110 average for both though.
Fwds - Gone Mundy at F3 as he will get more mid time if reports can be believed. Beneficial bye as well. Danger and Heeny have not left my side. Mundy may go down to Greene if cash needed, Will toss a coin on Simpson and Mundy.
Rookies pretty set but await announcements. Using Bines as R3 atm so as to give options to Bring in a R/F should Grundy or Gawn miss one or 2 games. Think Westhoff a bit expensive to start but good to bring in later if needed.

Team with 13 keepers Witherden and Ryan picked as keepers as both will go 90/100. Remember 2017 when only one defender averaged over 100 and this shaping up this year as well.
Bye structure for the 13 keepers:
Rd 12  4
Rd 13  6
Rd 14  3

So no further changes till Thursday.

looks good m8 can only really question the scrimshaw pick with his very shaky js

have u thought of going Witherden to Williams or Neale to Conigs for bye structure?

i know u a brissy man tho lol

Ringo

Thank you

Neale will definitely be staying - Withers part of my contingency plans when teams announced.

agree on witherden to williams,  or simpson to williams if you need cash.  Simmo is max priced and all downside from this spot.  I love the bloke and he is a stalwart of my SC def most years.   Just better value trading him in later.
Would have fyfe to oliver as ollie just never looks like missing games and likely 120 scorer.   Fyfe's problem is inability to play 22 games.   Is a super prem and one of if not best player in the game.   No good to you if he misses 3-6 games though.

Scrimshaw to hore and pocket the cash to help with those changes you may make. Unsurprisingly team looks great.

I have witherden and williams so can't help with that choice... tho I also have mcgrath

You have gone off brayshaw?

Best pick of course is the blonde magpie.

good luck for the season mate.

My Final Rd 1 Team

Only 10k cash left.

Lesson from last year do not go chasing points which is why I will take Cripps VC as better to be safe in Rd 1.

Issue that may change Constable or Scott at M9.  Probably toss a coin.

Mat0369

I like the Mundy pick. He is one I am tossing up in a downgrade for Menegola for some extra cash. Luke Ryan and interesting POD as well. Will be interested to see how the team progresses.

Ringo

After seeing the performance of some rookies and prems in first rounds have dowgraded Williams to Brodie Smith to keep $90k in reserve for Rd 3 adjustments. Do not think lose much with the downgrade
