Had a play round with a Guns and Rookies team as well. Do not mind this structure at all and may settle on it.  But like a few of us playing around with structures at this stage,

14 Keepers and an ideal 4,6,4 Bye structure for prems,  M2 - M5 not set in stone but the structure there to use prems in the 500/560k range with one maybe 600k,

Risk with JOM but think with Mitchell out he could be a nice POD and remember he played most games last year.

With Fagan uping the ante in Rucks expect Stef to lift to make sure he is in 22 and also noting he is off contract this year. Contingencies in plan for him if not.

Rookie availability may play havoc though,.

14 keepers is a really good effort!!!

Jaeger is the only pick I’m not sold on but with Titch down I can understand the risk!

Looks good. Solid structure, like the Merrett and Neale picks.
Only concern is JOM. Surely in line to get the tag now. Reckon he'd be a better pick with Titch in the team.
For a similar price I'd look at a mid/fwd like Kelly, Mundy or even Wingard if fit.
They are much more likely to be a top fwd than JOM is a top mid. People scoff at a DPP premo in the mids, but it actually makes sense for the above reason. Also adds flexibility with only 3 premo fwds u can  move there if necessary.

Ringo

As I said 2 - 5 not set in stone and others are under consideration as well Kelly, Sloan, Mundy, Zorko. Also Gray may be consideration but loving the structure.

Did some research on JOM last year and only missed the 2 games and scored well. If I retain him and find he is being tagged out of it will use a correctional trade,

Just did a team with English at R2 to see effect on structure. English may become Mumford if Fort starts.

Do not mind this structure at all - Couple of spec picks in O'Meara and  Jack Martin.  Only 10k left but a possible 14 keepers with Williams, Martin and O'Meara.  Risk I know but calculated.

Like the bye structure for the 14 keepers as well 3-5-6.

Posting Teams here to keep a record to look back on as well.

I like your team, but I see lots of FWDS with DPP but you have none in the MIDS.  Would it make sense to have one or two DDPs in the MIDS to allow you some flexibility?

A couple of nice PODs with Ryan and Jack Martin.  I notice that you don't either Miles or Walsh.  Are you happy to miss them?

I don't see jack being a keeper (as if I know anything), so they are said to be likely to produce similar scores to Jack but generate a lot more $.

Thoughts on Rozee in the FWDs to use the DPP of Burgess?

As you can see, I like to have position flexibility.

Bully

Looks solid to me, JOM worries me a bit, reckon he gets all the attention now. Would look at squeezing Zerrett in if you can.

Personally I think Rocky is cooked and won't return to fantasy relevance but would be a massive payoff if he can return to a 100 average and maybe be a M9.

Have the same obvious concerns about Birchall. Hasn't done any of the pre-season so would not really consider starting him unless he gets some games in JLT.

Even with the injury to Wines and Wingard leaving I'm not convinced that Robbie Gray's body can hold up enough to play massive amounts in the midfield without spending massive chunks of games up forward. Would be better IMO as an upgrade target to see how he goes once he has a few games under the belt.
with you on rocky ak.   birchall not on the radar either, rather spend more on roberton.every year i have doubts on gray and this year is the same.  probably a good choice as danger and heeny my f1/2 then big drop down in price to gresham.  could put him m5  if he lasts and plays mainly mid would be worth it. move him to f3 later in the season.

Ringo

After JLT1 This is my team and unless some rookies stand up next week or are dropped rookies unlikely to change,. Prems still undecided on a couple but getting structure right.

Def: Laird, Ryan, Witherden, Brodie Smith, Roberton, Duursma (Burgess, Hore)
Mid: Cripps, Neale, Coniglio, Brayshaw, Sloane, Miles/Libba/Walsh, Caldwell/Hately, Butters (Constable, Hind, Gibbons)
Ruc: Grundy, Goldstein (Fort Clarke also on radar)
Fwds: Danger, Heeney, Greene, Settlefield, Drew, Balta, (Petruccelle, Parker)

Caldwell/Hately dependent on who is named as do not see both being named. Will decide on Miles/Libba/Walsh based on premiums required and amount of cash required.

batting deep in def ringo  unique mids but all reasonable options.  team structure is good.  just wait for rookies to settle themselves out and good to go

Ringo

A few changes post JLT and this will be sitting team till teams announced:

Def: Dropped Ryan and Roberton and now running with 2 rookies on field each week.
Mids: Brought in Macrae as I feel I needed another big gun and also possible C choice with loopholes, So will probably regret Sloan out.
Fwds: Greene out for Boak.

Rookies are those I think will play but still await teams.

Byes for keepers 2/6/6 so not too bad,

Locinator

Really like it Ringo, solid as

if Sloane fires you've always got the option to jump off Brayshaw early for him

Mat0369

I like most of the picks and have had most in and out of my own side pending structures.

I think Gus Brayshaw is more of an AF/RDT option compared to SC. His number last year were ridiculous in the back end for those comps but they were not translating into SC points. I also think you might be batting one too many mid prems and need an extra in the forward line. Otherwise it's looking really solid.

sammy123

I like it ringo. Brayshaw a solid unique i have hone with steele myself

Ringo

Posting another team here to keep track.

Going light in the back line with the intention to see which premos maintain their average. Concerns with both Lloyd and Laird after further investigation.  Going light allowed Libba to become Brad Crouch.

Do not mind this team with 11 definite keepers and possibility of another 3 in Smith, Crouch and Greene. Rookies pretty set just waiting for Rd 1. Have used Bines as R3 as floating donut and also to maybe allow for a R/F to come in if Grund/Gawn miss for a game or 2.
