Year of the mid pricer it seems after R2.
Teams that started with a few have got the jump as most of them have done well and this combined with being able to start with Lloyd and Macrae has meant good scoring.
In defence I only have 1 of Smith and Moore.
In mids I have none of Libba, BCrouch, Sheed or Rocky.
In forwards I have Greene haha.

Ouch mate, it hurts. Moore is a must have, Smith has definitely started well.

I think Sheed and Rocky fall back to the pack. Sheed 0 tackles on the weekend, hardly attended a centre bounce. Concerning.
Rocky getting a hell of a lot of touches, think he pegs back once Wines returns. Should be good for 100-105 but think Rd 1 is his ceiling so lucky to those guys who started. Libba and BRouch on the other hand, have lots of room to improve in my opinion.

Also have Greene. He’ll come good imo

Agree regarding Brouch - looked really good in the first half. Slowed down 2nd half which I can attribute to him building match fitness.

Will you be keeping Greene if he's not named this week? Worried this is going to be jkelly of last year when 1 week became 6...
Yeah, I have Moore and will be keeping Greene for the time being at least.
Brodie Smith will be a good stepping stone and I think that’s about it. We’ll see.
Rocky is an interesting one. The tag may shut him down a bit too. He was curtailed in the second half.
I’m happy enough with my team without the mid pricers but with what I know now I would almost certainly have structured things differently.

Will Brisbane send Robbo to Rocky on Saturday?

Whatever happened to our beloved eaglesman? He has been silent for a while, I wonder why...

Should change the name of this thread to 'The Year of the Mid-Pricer'.

Yep, or the year of the expensive rookie.

Call me crazy but Rowan Marshall on the bubble this week anyone? $341k FWD

JLT2: 112 (WB)
R2: 114 (Ess)
R3: 111 (Freo)

Yeh stats aren't great pre 2019 but with no Hickey does he get an instant boost filling his role. Pretty consistent scoring across albeit a small sample size but backs up his scores with reasonable possession numbers and tackles for a big man.

Do people think he can keep it up long term for a 100 average?

If he keeps the #1 ruck role for Saints all year I think he can average at least 90, but that's uncertain to me.  Can easily see them bringing in Longer and putting Marshall back into the forward line.

And always beware of over achieving players on over performing teams.. if Saints start getting flogged again he could suffer.

If Greene is out again he appears as good a straight swap as anyone.
Classic risk v reward though. One bad game and Longer may get his chance at being first ruck.

Probably time to move Sheed on for those that have him, BE 90, good chance he starts losing cash.

Quotehas accepted Andrew Gaff’s return means he must give up midfield time.

QuoteSheed is coming off his lowest disposal tally since round 19 last year, just before Gaff’s eight-week ban for striking Fremantle’s Andrew Gaff.

Quote“Gaffy back in the team has probably made me play a bit more half-forward,” Sheed said.

Thanks for the memories mr Sheed, welcome mr Whitfield

How does Gaff strike one Fremantle's Andrew Gaff?

Stop hitting yourself?
